How do you get traffic?

I fairly new to IM and cpa marketing.i signed up with some cpa networks.I found that setting up and offer and a lp is easy.the thing im finding hard is get quality traffic.ive tried ppc and i get clicks but none convert. warriors how do you get most of your traffic?

I use Tweet Attacks for traffic, Scrapebox/SeNuke X to rank in search engines for my keywords (bringing in organic traffic), answer questions on Yahoo! answers, social bookmarking, pretty much anything but paid traffic campaigns like Adwords.

I said anything BUT paid campaigns like Adwords. I don't do PPC/PPV for pretty much all of the reasons you just listed. lol

@brokerdavide, of course it works. Check the reviews in my thread, search on Google for reviews.. whatever you want. You wont see a single bad review. Build targeted followers, generate and schedule thousands of tweets in a few minutes, scrape the followers from a competitor's account, retweet attacks, the list just keeps going and going.

However with that being said, it can only do what YOU program it to do. You are the one who has to set everything up and figure out how to use it properly, test settings, test different methods, etc.

I've had 1 guy who bought it from me just 3 weeks ago earn 400 dollars with it so far, but he also used his head. He got creative and found offline clients who are willing to pay him to automate their Twitter marketing.

He didn't tell them how he's doing it or that the program only costs 127 dollars, but still. He just explained some of the different things that he was able to do with their Twitter account, came up with a price, and they agreed.

You can also use it to send traffic to your own websites, any URL you want. Affiliate products, fiverr gigs, Youtube videos, whatever.

Of course, I also have other buyers who probably haven't made a dollar yet. But they will get the hang of it eventually.

So to sum it up, it all depends on how YOU use it. It is definitely not "1 button and you're off!" lol

Most traffic is wasted unless its captured somehow and re-funneled over and over.

You need an autoresponder so you can use your hard earned traffic again.

Internet Marketing gets more competitive everyday so in order to stay competitive you must use your traffic as efficiently as possible.

When you can control traffic you will finally have a stable business. CPA and PPC are great to start out and make a few bucks (or more if you're an expert) but that could be gone at any minute because you're 100% relying on Google, or the CPA offer or some other traffic source.

Use these and other traffic sources to build your list and break free.

And you know. Google isn't the only PPC platform.

Adwords can be expensive for some niches.

You can buy traffic (cheapest than adwords) but first of all it depends on the product \ service you offer.

Partner traffic is the best of them all. They are targeted and therefore the rest just depends on what type of funnel aka plan you have in place.

Most people will not buy from you as soon as they opt-in. In a nutshell, you have to:
1. Deliver value immediately after they opt-in
2. Build authority and trust by only sending sensible informative emails in the form of an article.
3. Finally, send your offer

By far, this is the current best method to turn prospects into buyers.
So, first get partner traffic and then follow the three steps above and you'll be fine

Well, if you used "proper" CPL offers, and built your sites out correctly with SEO in mind ( instead of running junk email submits ), maybe you would see more success.

Spreading your links by submitting your site in directory sites, bookmarkings, classified ads, and forum sites like this. And also using of social networking sites is a big help for you to gain more traffic.

The thing is that just getting traffic isn't enough, you need to know how to use it.

So, I recommend you to focus on one traffic generation strategy and stick with it. People will suggest you many things that are working for them, but you can't do everything at the same time, so choose one traffic source and master it.

If you're using PPC and not getting results, try to research and find out why you're failing. PPC campaigns require a lot of testing and optimizing, so you may have to test more elements such as offers, ads, LPs, etc.

Just don't jump to a different thing every time something goes wrong, or you will never master a traffic source and, therefore, will never build a successful IM business.

Same for me, I use PPC and Media Buy.

The thing with PPC is that you have to know how it works to use it. That's why it is good to read a lot and watch videos about how to create, run and optimize your campaigns. The Google Adwords Forum is also a really good place to learn about how to run your campaigns.

If you're really having a hard time using PPC, it's easy to find web apps that are really helpful. For example, I've been using the free trial of www(dot)wordwatch(dot)com, they now manage my PPC bids and I saw changes after about two and a half weeks. Maybe you should give it a try.

Yep, traffic is the heart of any campaign. People always focus on the CPA aspect of a sales funnel forgetting that getting cheap, targeted, massive, or and ideally all the above is the most important element.

PPC and self ad serving works fine at the niche and second tiers...media buys will always work. Social works, seo works, and free bum methods work

I've found that people who fail at PPC fall into one of the following categories:

1.) They try to get as much traffic as possible, bidding on very generic one word keywords.

2.) They don't set up any kind of funnel for their traffic, it's "smash and grab" as their mentality which doesn't work well with PPC anymore.

3.) They try one campaign, fail and call it a day, announcing to the world that ppc doesn't work.

4.) They do not do any split testing of ads or landing pages ever.

5.) They do not track anything, so they have a big, one word keyword sucking their budget dry everyday without converting, yet they don't know that as they don't do any tracking or pausing crappy keywords.

6.) They don't know what their maximum spend per keyword is nor do the even know what that means.

7.) They're way to impatient.

8.) They're not wired for paid traffic.

9.) They pick crappy offers and therefore get crappy results.

10.) They give up too easily.

There's probably more, but that's just off the top of my head. If PPC is dead, then explain who Adwords did several billion in profit this year? (It's not just big corporate brand advertisers contributing to that profit). Sure they hate affiliates, so pretend you're NOT one with them.

if i was you, i would take some time and decide what type of traffic i want. Paid or free. pick 1 method and master it until you start making stable income and then add another traffic source to your list to maximise you revenue.

Do not forget to update your website's content, frequently.

And if it's possible, give some freebies.

I totally agree - every time I run a simple Adwords campaign say $20 a day I end up making $100+ or more net profit a day - it works if you know what you are doing

For example, I've been using the free trial of www(dot)wordwatch(dot)com, they now manage my PPC bids and I saw changes after about two and a half weeks. Maybe you should give it a try. Good luck !

I've found that people who fail at PPC fall into one of the following categories: 1.) They try to get as much traffic as possible, bidding on very generic one word keywords. 2.) They don't set up any kind of funnel for their traffic, it's "smash and grab" as their mentality which doesn't work well with PPC anymore. 3.) They try one campaign, fail and call it a day, announcing to the world that ppc doesn't work. 4.) They do not do any split testing of ads or landing pages ever. 5.) They do not track anything, so they have a big, one word keyword sucking their budget dry everyday without converting, yet they don't know that as they don't do any tracking or pausing crappy keywords. 6.) They don't know what their maximum spend per keyword is nor do the even know what that means. 7.) They're way to impatient. 8.) They're not wired for paid traffic. 9.) They pick crappy offers and therefore get crappy results. 10.) They give up too easily. There's probably more, but that's just off the top of my head. If PPC is dead, then explain who Adwords did several billion in profit this year? (It's not just big corporate brand advertisers contributing to that profit). Sure they hate affiliates, so pretend you're NOT one with them.

People fail with PPC because they read books and strategies that worked in 2005 and assume they will work today. Like any traffic source, things have changed and will continue to change. Adapt or get weeded out! Survival of the fittest...or the resilient!

Yes its take time but if you have low competetors then you can get fast results it also depend on your SEO Quality.. But at least its free of cost traffic source.. and permanent (depend on your SEO)

Paid or free. pick 1 method and master it until you start making stable income and then add another traffic source to your list to maximise you revenue.

Do not forget to update your website's content, frequently. And if it's possible, give some freebies. Lastly, promote your website any chance you get.
