Default Using CPA on Facebook Fan Pages?

I have a Facebook fan page that relates to one of my niche sites and the niche site itself is doing fairly well with a particular CPA lead from Peerfly.

Is it with terms to "legally" use a CPA lead on a Facebook page?

In other words.

Can I post something like:

Quote:
Press "Like" if you are a fan of ______.

http://CPAOFFERURL.com/
I know that I can get around 1,000 people to click forward to the CPA lead (which is converting very highly) in the next hour, but seeing as I don't want to go against Terms of Service and can't find anything on it, I'd like to hear from other Warriors regarding this matter.

P.S. The page has a very large fan base (upwards of 40,000) so I don't want to have it banned.

Hey, well 1st thing you need to make sure that your offer allows social media traffic. Of course you can post cpa offers on fan page, but you can redirect the offer by a small quiz or some thing that would make it much more legit. i know a lot of people just posting cpa links on fan pages and they are doing well.

Some networks may be little Bi*tch about it. Best thing to do is, send email to your affiliate manager to be 100% safe.

cheers

@Aminur,

Thanks a lot. Prior to posting this message I actually called, tweeted, and emailed my affiliate manager :P Just have to wait for a response in which ever form. It's a big project and I don't want to screw it up, so thanks a lot. I have done CPA offers before on Facebook, but that was with pages with around 5,000 fans. I feel 10x the amount is a different story and I should take more precaution

If the offer accepts social traffic, it accepts FB fan page traffic. If your leads are targeted and converting and high quality, you will be fine. Try any sneaky stuff with junk traffic and prepare for that ban hammer. PF is not messing around with junk traffic affiliates. I have some acquaintances who have been recently banned trying to do some pretty stupid sh&t.

Keep in touch with your AM and you will be fine.

@Jaybox, I'm not worried about the CPA network. I'm worried about my Facebook page. I've contacted my AM before and he's okay with it, but I just don't know if Facebook is going to be okay with it. Like a direct link to the CPA offer, or even by having people fill out a survey and then redirected.

Just a heads up, Facebook won't ban the page but will say the link is spam and will prevent the visitor from going to the offer. They don't like any thing from Peerfly. According to Luke from peerfly, he says you can iframe the offer. i can't post links but google: "peerfly iframe" and should be the first result going to Luke's blog.

Your Fan page is safe. you can post any cpa link you want. some links don't work ( Blocked) because some people spam the crap out of the email submit offers. If you can take the visitors to a landing page or redirect it by domain you will be running 100% safe on both side ( Facebook and Cpa Network)

Looks like some great solutions were already suggested here. Our publishers who run this type of promotion, get really good returns especially if the offer is related to the fan page, ie. MacDonalds vs. Burger King submit for a Burger Fan Page, converted extremely well!

Yep, the page is 100% dedicated to the offer and I know it will convert as I have already had a decent conversion of 8% on the site, but just wanted to make sure.

Would it be okay to use a url shortener like bit.ly to mask the peerfly links so that facebook doesn't mark them as spam?

No, Facebook follow's the redirect and know that you are still linking to a PeerFly link. The best way to do this type of promotion is to create your own landing page preselling the offer and then putting a nice big call to action button directing the user to your PeerFly affiliate link. This has a few advantages:
  1. You are promoting your own page so you have full control.
  2. You can include a "Like" button on your lander and get free traffic.
  3. You can split test multiple offers and see what works best.
We cannot let you direct link our offers on Facebook, but we have no issue with you promoting your own page and if you're using a fan page to generate traffic to that page that is absolutely fine with us

I ended up scratching the fact of using Peerfly directly and instead I will be having the fans submit a poll, which will then automatically redirect them to the offer. This way I'm not directly advertising to my fans and can test out getting them to pre-submit on the submit.

In other words, the poll will be directed towards the CPA offer itself.

So if the offer says "get this free", I will talk about whatever that is in the poll and then ask questions accordingly.

Thanks everyone for your awesome replies!

Yes, buddy, the old poll method still works when used properly, so I think this can be a good strategy.

Good luck!

Here are the statistics thus far.

WuFoo submissions:

Peerfly conversions.

As you can see I got a 65% conversion on the poll which is great. However, the conversions on the CPA lead thus far are "decent". I've had other offers convert at 30% before so I know it can be increased.

I was only semi testing it to see what would happen.

Edit: I just got another conversion on Peerfly, so it's now at 6.90% CR and $9.60.

Personally.. I'd honestly be more worried about losing members of the fan page.. cpa offers aren't normally the most "friendly" offers and you might scare away your member base

Just my opinion

You can create a website using your fanpages, go to mywebees dot com, you can connect your URL or Affiliate link there. Then connect it with your fanpage then set it as a landing page so that your visitor will see it. Try CPM instead of CPC in facebook, then target the country and interest with 50,000 to 60,000 reach. In $10 you can get 1000 likes. Try it.

I used "WuFoo" to create a survey.

The fans clicked on the link, went to the survey to help further progress something, and afterwards were redirected to a CPA offer where the offer was email only.

You can create polls via WuFoo, PollDaddy, and Jotform as of my knowledge and have them redirect.

I think the redirect is much more... okay versus directly linking them and can help sustain the fans.

No. You wouldn't convert well anyway because the fan page width is only 520 pixels, so the iframe wouldn't show the whole lander. Your best bet is to have a squeeze page or your own lander.

It's not important how many conversion you get if you have a big fan page then must protect it and make new small fanpage and drive traffic to small fanpage from big fanpage it makes you profit same.

Some great information is present here. Good discussion! Stumbled upon this post and read each bit of it. Surprised how active and helpful Luke is.

Bumping this thread so that those looking to promote CPA offers using Facebook can have a better understanding of how to maximize profits and stay on the safer side as well.

I don't directly promote my affiliate links on Facebook. I find ways to indirectly promote the products.

The best tip I can give you to prequalify people even further is to have them go through a form that then redirects them to the affiliate/cpa offer.

Also you can get people to signup to a list, which you can use to promote products, etc. (if allowed).

Well I've been doing fb fan page cpa marketing for a while, made a couple hundred with it in a couple of days. But then fb changed something with their settings or whatever, and I could no longer post ANY cpa links to my page any longer. I always got a message, links from Maxbounty, Neverblue, cpalead etc... are not allowed to be posted here. I even tried to buy a domain and redirect it to the CPA offer, but that didn't work out as well!

So I dont really think that fb likes CPA offers on fan pages. I could be wrong, but from my experience, they don't like that!

Hope that helps
Alen

@Alen, you shouldn't have been able to post CPA links in the first place. This should be considered spam.

That's why you have to advertise indirectly through your own website, own squeeze page, or through survey redirects.

There is probably a plugin out there for WordPress or some type of free software, however I have yet to find it.

I use Wufoo/Jotform, however I prefer WuFoo over anything else as my return is much much higher than my expenses.

Once you have the form how do you get it on your fanpage as a tab? Do you have to create an app and then paste the code you get from the survey?
