CPA publishers, can you sleep at night?

Knowing how devious this industry is to the end user? I have mixed feelings. I've actually had people track me down and call me 8 AM Sunday morning leaving me very angry messages "Hey bro, where is my free laptop. I did everything the site told me to do".

I realize it's a dog eat dog world and let's admit, 90% of the advertisers pillage the crap out of the data they mine.

This is not what I wanted to do with my life. But I do enjoy making sites and giving value to the user but this some how has to be compensated, right? We all have to eat.

Does this fact bother any of you?

Business is business. I sleep well at night because the mass number of downloads my immoral links get have paid for my king-size memory foam mattress complete with luxury silk sheets and a 200lbs teddy.

Atleast I'm one of the few honest WF members though, right?

Mind you, I stay away from the extreme sleezy offers, I'd like to think I still have some morals..

but I get what your saying, I had this issue at first too.. but I got over it

I am just afraid that one of these days some random stranger will blow my head off. I've been in similar situations. I've ran a political forum with some hardcore opinions. It became quite popular, popular enough to where the angry users got a hold of my info. One happy weekend while out in bars I've got recognized by a group of angry / drunk males that attended my forum. I almost had my ass handed to me, thank god I wasn't alone.

jeez!!! that's scary. i'll start thinking twice now about what i do.

how do people find out who you are? just curious, so i can avoid it. i don't want stuff like that happening to me.

i think i might use a fake name if i do anything that i think people will come after me for. would that be enough?

I really wasn't try to hide so I was quite easy to find. But there is no true privacy online. If some one has the will, he will find a way.

i hate the idea of incentive offers. never promoted them and never will. I rather stick with paid traffic all day long

I think it is always up to you how deep into this you are willing to dive... Everyone should only do things they are OK with.

Exactly. It's actually illegal not to. Not to mention names but there was that big lawsuit a few years ago :x
