Default Help a n00b!

Hey guys, I'm brand new to this whole scene, and I'm looking for advice on applying to networks. I've searched the forums and read a few threads where people have been rejected, etc., but I am still looking for more info! (All the info I can get, to tell you the truth.)

I plan on doing Wordpress based single-product sites with brand name keywords & close matching domain names. Basically, sites that I wouldn't build until I've found an offer I want to take up. So I'm a bit nervous about applying to networks as I don't have a website up and running to show them. Even if I set up an example "demo" type site, I obviously wouldn't be able to show them that it's getting 5,000 unique views a month.

Basically, all I can put on my app is "Hey, I'm a total newbie, but I've been studying hard and I have the time and energy to put into this. Give me a shot, please!"

Is that good enough? Any suggestions on which networks would look favorably on this kind of application?

I feel like such a silly goose. I thought that finding a good affiliate program on odigger or OV was going to be the hard part! I had no idea that joining a network was going to be such a hurdle.

Well, off to spend my $37 on the War Room!

Try to apply for PeerFly, CPAway, Ndemand Affiliates or Maxbounty. They are newbie-friendly and are very easy to get in. Good luck

Woohoo! I've been accepted by both PeerFly and Adcommunal! Thanks, everyone! This is such a relief, I didn't know how long I'd be stuck in limbo without a network to work with!
Kenster, that guide was EXCELLENT. You should look to JV with every CPA Course seller out there to have that included as a bonus. Wow.

I have another question now that I'm in. I'm having trouble with the terminology of the "restrictions" and "allowed traffic" requirements on the offers. Here's an example:

Quote:
Allowed Marketing: Social PPC [?], E-mail [?], Banner Display [?], PPV/CPV [?], Contextual [?]
Allowed Countries: United States
Restricted Marketing: NO Incent [?], NO Classified Ads [?], NO Twitter [?], NO Search PPC [?]
I want to do product specific blog sites, one product per site, and do SEO. Is that what they mean by "Contextual" up there? When you click the "?" it says "Promoting this offer via text links in related text content." That's me, right?

Thanks in advance, everyone. God, such a n00b, I know, but I promise, I won't be one for long and I'll be sure to be back her returning the favor on all this help.

Glad you liked the Rags2Riches guide!!!

As for your blog. If you plan on promoting the offer via text links on your blog then yes, that's you. Networks sometimes have their own way of defining traffic so whenever you are not sure, just give your AM a ring!

Best of luck buddy

As many others have stated, I would read up on the "how to get accepted to networks" threads.. also try to read up on just basic threads on here and perhaps even blogs to get a better idea of the whole affiliate marketing concept and how people drive traffic to offers, etc.. this way when you talk to them you will be more knowledgeable and prepared

It's a great network though, which explains the popularity
