Warriors, I'm a practical guy. I don't beat around the bush. I either get straight to the point, or I don't say anything. I read the same posts every day on various forums of people starting out that are wondering why they aren't making money. The funniest part is, 9 out of 10 people are making fundamental mistakes that people just overlook. Know this: you are not making money, because you are not focusing on the basics. Don't move on until you've mastered the basics. If you try to bite off more than you can chew you're better off throwing your money off of a building. Here arethe reasons you are not making any money: 1. YOU'RE NOT TESTING ENOUGH/CORRECTLY >> Now, I definitely don't have an godly budget. I probably have a smaller testing budget than a great majority of people in the industry. I am a college student that saves as much money as I can to use for testing my campaigns. As much as it sucks it teaches me something important. You can't throw your money at the wall with your tests. I make sure I spend more time focusing on the data I receive from my tests, limiting the amount of testing spend and getting the biggest bang for my buck. Before you run your campaign, check your grammar, check your headlines, check your images. Make sure your images are all fitting your maximum img size. Make sure you you're split testing your targets. Make sure you're splitting your landing pages. Make sure you're split testing different offers from different networks to make sure you're not getting shafted on the back end. People have a fear of testing. People see it as losing money. STOP THINKING YOU'RE LOSING MONEY. Instead, realize that you are buying the best "make monies online course" in the world - because you are. There is no WSO or E-Book that has ever existed in the history of mankind that will teach you as much as just executing your campaigns. You are buying data and information, that is absolutely priceless in your success. I admit, it isn't easy. I had the fear as well. Once you get over it, I promise you will start seeing profits. 2. Make sure your tracking is set up CORRECTLY (AND LOOK AT IT) >>Don't overlook tracking. If your tracking isn't set up, download P202 to one of your websites, and check any of the several videos online on how to set up the script correctly. It is so imperative that you not only set up your tracking correctly, but you USE it. In the beginning of my campaign making, I would make some campaigns, set up the tracking for it, set up my subids, and would realize that I actually wasn't looking at the results. I would only be looking at if I was profiting, CTRs, and CVRs. Obviously CTR's and CVR's are super important. But you have the ability to increase those percentages if you look at your tracking results and see how you can optimize. You will NOT profit if you don't optimize. You might get lucky and profit the first or second day, but it wont last unless you optimize. Find out which offers are working. Find out which pictures are working. See which demographic is clicking the most. You are ultimately just driving your CTR up, and getting your CPC down (if you're using PPC). If you're using SEO or other methods, make sure you are seeing which ads people are clicking, and which aren't. If you don't look at whose clicking and when they're clicking, you're leaving precious cash on the table. 3. Stay Persistent. Don't stop working. >> Do not by any means start posting on the forums when your campaigns aren't profiting. All that is doing is taking away time you can be making new campaigns to test. Of course, you can make a post and check it later in the day, but do not sit and wait until you get a response that answers all your questions (***which probably won't happen anyway. The people making money aren't browsing the forums looking for people to help. They're busy making more and more campaigns and stacking more and more bills). Here's a perfect practical example. I was just watching the Rangers vs. Maple Leaves tonight. You want to know why those damn Rangers lost? Because they didn't take enough shots. "You Miss 100% of the Shots You Don't Take". If you're not making campaigns (AND RUNNING THEM) you are not going to make money. Every time I see a post of someone saying "I spent $1000 on testing and still not making profits?" I think that they are spending too much time worrying and not enough time thinking. These are the reasons you are not making. There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. If you are not profiting, you are not mastering your basics. Until you do, you won't make money. So stop posting, only read information WHILE your campaigns are running, stop buying ebooks and lose some money testing. Make more money. Keep hustling. Keep working. :: Matthew P |

Thanks for the support guys, I really have widdled it down to three key things. It's so fundamental but so obvious when you read posts about people that aren't successful yet. It is by no means easy, but the quicker you learn these very basic things, the quicker you will profit. :: Matthew P |

Too many people throw up campaigns and just hope they work. Unfortunately that's not how it works. There are exceptions, but normally you need continually test and tweak campaigns to turn them into big winners. It's like going fishing. If you throw a lure out in the middle of the water, there is a chance that a fish may come up and eventually bite it, but it's unlikely. You need to throw out the lure, then real it in and change speeds and motions until you eventually find the right combination that catches fish. Sometimes the lure never works so you need to go through your tackle box and try 10 different lures. But if you put in the work of testing everything out, you will catch a fish. If you put in the work to test things out with your campaign, you will make money! |

Thanks Matthew, this is exactly what i am wondering now, I have a campaign and I've tried to split and improve the landing page. After 5,6 days running and testing, I got 30% money back only, some keywords sent me leads very quick but no lead from them after that so I have to remove them from the list. Some kws are profit but they received little traffic only, I got 1 lead from each of them. So I really wondering that I'm on the right way or not |

Absolutely. You approach each campaign like a mini-business. When you start a business you risk money and then work your tail off to turn the business profitable. Many times a business will not make any money...in fact most businesses fail. But you need to put your heart into the business to see if it's a big winner. Same with campaigns... You invest money in your campaign, then work your tail off to turn the campaign into a profitable one. Not every campaign (just like not every business) will be a profitable one but you have to treat each one like it's going to be a profitable one and work your tail off to find out it's destiny! | |

I can't decide for you when you should change up your ads. That's completely your call. What I can suggest is come up with a precedent for when you will call a campaign "unprofitable" and stick with it. That way you won't let your emotions take over. I wish you luck with your campaign! Quote:

Great post, mate! I do believe that conducting the tests the wrong way or even not conducting any tests is the most serious mistake beginners commit. I hardly find a campaign that's profitable right from the first day, all of my campaigns require an optimization process to start making me money. So not going through the optimization process and quitting too soon is a huge mistake. Get data, analyze it, optimize the campaign and then make your decision. It will cost some money, but if you do it properly you will be able to lose small while testing and profit big when you find winners. W
