I really didnt understanded whats the difirence between marketing and affiliation can some one explain please ?

An affiliate is someone who markets someone else's product.

So an affiliation can best be described as a partnership, but you have no liability to the company except to promote their product in an honest and ethical manner.

Marketing is just promoting a product or service.

marketing is a very global term that deals with everything from branding to sales to the actual promotion of products and services.

Affiliate marketing is a part of marketing, more specifically the sales part of marketing, and even more specifically what Jeffrey describes above

You can market your own product or someone else's product.

If you market a product for someone else then you are their Affiliate/Publisher/Partner. Basically you are a middleman or "broker".

So if you have your own product then you can recruit affiliates. Say you give them 70% and you take 30%. If your product costs $100 then you will make $30. Sounds like not a great deal huh? Well, not if you have 100 affiliates. Now get 1 sale from each one and you've made $3,000!

Sure, they've made $7,000, but you didn't have to do any work except create the product ONCE! Your affiliates "marketed" the product for YOU. Multiply your affiliates by 10 and you can see how profitable it can become.
