Hey guys, I got $100 for PPC to start it now. I would like to ask you guys, is it $100 enough to start with PPC or should I wait for bigger budget? I it better to start with Facebook PPC or Google PPC. Any suggestion is much appriciated. |

If you don't have any experience with PPC, think about it twice. Some time ago I was trying PPC and lost all invested money, but that was before I started to read this forum. After that my moves on PPC were better

I'd say it is enough to start with depending on your goals. You will burn $100 quickly on PPC but you can have a good ROI with pretty much any amount to start with. When I first started using Facebook ads I used a $50 coupon and directed my ad to a fan page which I promoted CPA offers with and I made $125 from that in a few days.

$100 is more than enough in my opinion but don't screw around with PPC. Take that income and do something with Facebook conversions on a page. A good example is I spent $25 on a Fan Page that now has over 3,000 fans. Get those conversions up high and it'll be easy as riding a bike. |

Heh. One more note. A fan page with only 300 fans made me $60 in the last week. Take that into consideration |

| No way, for adwords you need $1000 to test. If you are low on budget maybe you should go for PPV.

If you're super careful and super lucky you might be able to stretch $100. The way to do that is to make sure you are getting somewhat close to breaking even at the very least, that way you're not really losing much, but you are gaining knowledge into the traffic source and learning your methods. I've spent under $200 on one traffic source and have seen profitable campaigns, but ultimately would break even. It's what you put into it. I just don't want you to be sitting down on $100 and then call it quits from there. :: Matthew P |

You are basically gambling it up with only $100. Chad Hamzeh recommends $500 on the low end. With $100, making sure your pages contain quality content and your sales copy is up to snuff is more important. Following that up with a focus on free social media would be a better route, IMO.

And more than anything else. It just simply works. Quote:
I have personally tested different strategies and it's actually quite easy to find a great campaign with about $2.50 - $5.00. That's it. It doesn't cost me $500 to see progress, especially when paying for impressions. Ha. I've barely even spent over $500 on Facebook ads and I've made a hell of a return. If someones saying you have to spend more money, they probably don't know what they are talking about, or they are only relating to themselves. But in my experience $2.50 - $5.00 is enough to see if an ad works. Of course, the more money you toss in... let's just say $10.00, would increase your data by 2x so it is worth it, but it's definitely not required to invest $500+ into. As far as content.. How does a page with only 35 words sound? Well that's the campaign I tested out yesterday and it converted $50. I think a lot of content is great, if you are trying to adhere to the search engines. But if you have people coming to the website versus search engines, focus on creating something for them. Ah. I'm just blabbering. PPC is not my friend O.o It's too expensive for little return IMO (even with a good CTR and CR and payout).

I would suggest learning as much as you possibly can before putting your money into PPC. Get a voucher as well... if you enter google engage then you can get 20 $100 vouchers!

You can run some Cickbank stuff on 7search for $100 ppc and split test your ad copy for two separate campaigns. Your are not just tracking conversion only but number of clicks also. Allow your traffic to determine which ad copy they prefer and then focus on that campaign.

It depends on your traffic source...I think your best option is facebook as long as you do not send the traffic outside of facebook. Facebook ppc is cheaper if you keep the traffic on facebook. Direct them to a fanpage. You also want to narrow down your search and pin point demo. You don't want to target 20,000, 30,000 or more that will be expensive and you will burn through your $100 budget over night. Eugene |
