Want to See a Really Simple PPV Landing Page?

This is my "Devil's Night" (Halloween Evening) treat for you.. this is a very simple landing page which I used for PPV to promote ringtones.. I did this in mspaint.. (yes, mspaint)

Yes, this is it, that easy.. questions?

OK, so you made it in MSPaint, great. I love using Paint.

How did you make it into a link? Did you link the entire page or just the button?

How did you upload it when it was done? Did you use FTP or C-Panel? What folder do you upload it to?

I think these are some questions newer Warriors might like to know, just in case they don't understand some of the HTML and PHP stuff.

For making it into a link, for something like this you could just make the whole site an image and link so to speak.. see code below

The only problem with this approach is you need to keep an eye on the file size as you want to ensure your pages load as quickly as possible for the viewer (the better the quality the bigger the file)

I always just use my ftp client and/or just the regular windows one (yes I am a geek). As for the directory it really depends on how you want to have it setup and also your hosting..

For example - hostgater (a well known host), if my domain was www.nickyminajringtones.com, I would probably name the html file index.html and upload it to ~/www/nickyminajringtones.com/ and the image would be uploaded to the same folder in this case..

Now if you want to add php in, there are a few different ways to do it.. I don't mind showing everyone if there is interest..

i mean, im signed up to these different networks. they have different offers for me to promote, but nothing that i can tailor make like this such as nicki minaj ringtones. I guess i need a better idea of how to promote the set offers in front of me .

Like he said in the title it's PPV (pay per view) which means it is paid traffic. You are paying for the amount of times the PPV network displays your lander on someone else's computer.

CPA is basically either paid traffic or organic traffic/viral traffic. Either you pay to drive people to see your offer, or you use seo or social media to drive traffic to your website organically.

I will put it to you like this. Let's take the MMA niche, just for example. The reason I am picking this niche is because I know quite a bit about it.

Guys that love this niche are passionate about certain fighters. Some Brock Lesnar, some Chuck Liddell, Couture, Jon Jones, Fedor or whoever. So... pick a very POPULAR figure.

Now you have yourself a niche. Just like Chris showed: Nicki Minaj. Now show your landing page around this particular "figure" and promote HIM or HER.

Guys in this "niche" are interested in not only MMA, but muscle building, fitness, and even dating!! ( who is NOT interested in dating? )

That gives you some indication on how to promote different offers. Anything related surely will SELL in a specific market.

The obvious answer to that would be married people... yet there are tons of offers out there for "cheating wives" and "unfaithful spouses" so really, yes you are right. Can't go wrong with dating!

This specific landing page is for ppv, I would only want to pay 0.01-0.02 per view. I'm not sure how well this would work for other traffic sources

i might be somewhat off-topic here, but as a junior affiliate i would love if i could get some help from you. I have some credit left in a PPc network and we know its not economical anymore, is there any way i can use that money to make a small profit (by which i mean , not going into a loss?)

People spend so much time complicating things, but Chris just showed how simple it can be. Build that page, have it pop up when people are searching for her name or viewing pages with her on them, (CPV), people click it and hopefully get the ringtone, you get paid.

Rinse and repeat.

It was profitable, it had a CTR of around 5-7%, ROI of around 50%

It did convert until I shared it on a public forum, then I started to see the bids jump. Ironically I just swapped in another artist and did even better

Hey Big Chris, is it true that ringtone offers don't work that well anymore in MOST cases; if so, why? I have read that the reason why this niche-vertical isn't as "green" as it was from 2008-2010 is because people are learning how to make their own ringtone's without buying them; is this true and can you tell from your end of things?

I know that affiliates have saturated this vertical, so what can we do in TODAY's time to PROFIT in this niche and not bid on the same thing that other PPV marketers are bidding on? I have read that instead of targeting an "artist" (like Lil Wayne for example) we should target their individual songs that are popular, and then pop over a "ringtone" landing page for that song on PPV...

Also, what are the best ringtone offers to test out when we build our PPV campaign's, Chris?

If you could spare any guidance Big Bro', I'd greatly appreciate it!

There is still tons of money to be made with ringtones, but the big "ringtone rush" is not a big as it used to be, which is actually good, all the big players have moved onto other niches

I'd ask your AM's for the best converting ringtone offers on each particular network as it will vary..

I like PPV for ringtones as they are more relaxed than other traffic sources

There are so many variations of songs, artists, albums to bid on, in my opinion there is still tons of room to get into this.. think about this too - for every song, how many lyric sites are there out there with the lyrics listed? that might be a good target.. the key is to think outside the box, if you search and get targets for just "lil wayne" you might face high bids and high competition.. but why not go the extra effort..

Either way, it's just an example of (hopefully) how easy it is to come up with search terms/targets without even much thought.. now I wouldn't use those as targets, I would throw them into a scraper and use urls as the targets..just think.. there are about 700 songs listed.. get only 10-20 urls per song.. that's 7000-14000 TARGETED urls..

There we go guys, with everything here you should have your first successful ppv campaign..

Can you offer a recommendation on which ringtone offers are still doing good for American traffic? I know that most networks took down such offers because of how the market has changed over the past few years...

I fully agree. MS Paint is only good for a couple functions, and Photoshop is just too complicated.

I like to keep things simple, and Paint.net does the job well! Plus, it makes ****tier looking banners than PS, and that is a good thing!

Hey Big Chris, is it true that ringtone offers don't work that well anymore in MOST cases; if so, why? I have read that the reason why this niche-vertical isn't as "green" as it was from 2008-2010 is because people are learning how to make their own ringtone's without buying them; is this true and can you tell from your end of things? I know that affiliates have saturated this vertical, so what can we do in TODAY's time to PROFIT in this niche and not bid on the same thing that other PPV marketers are bidding on? I have read that instead of targeting an "artist" (like Lil Wayne for example) we should target their individual songs that are popular, and then pop over a "ringtone" landing page for that song on PPV... Also, what are the best ringtone offers to test out when we build our PPV campaign's, Chris? If you could spare any guidance Big Bro', I'd greatly appreciate it!

Google says he did and who am I to argue with google.. Either way, it's just an example of (hopefully) how easy it is to come up with search terms/targets without even much thought.. now I wouldn't use those as targets, I would throw them into a scraper and use urls as the targets..just think.. there are about 700 songs listed.. get only 10-20 urls per song.. that's 7000-14000 TARGETED urls.. There we go guys, with everything here you should have your first successful ppv campaign..

Hey Chris, which ringtone offers for US traffic still work good? I checked out PeerFly, EWA, CPAWay, and so on, but most of their ringtone offers are for INTERNATIONAL traffic and not American anymore... Can you offer a recommendation on which ringtone offers are still doing good for American traffic? I know that most networks took down such offers because of how the market has changed over the past few years... THANKS!
