I was approved to promote a site online & was notified that incentivised traffic of any kind is not allowed. All leads generated in this way will be reversed. How does the advertiser know whether i paid people to sign up? |

They have ways, there's patterns in leads, referrers and a couple other things that I'm not revealing that can find this out. If in doubt, get permission first and get it in writing not over the phone. You need something to fall back on if they decide they're not going to pay you. |

Advertisers make it their priority to know that leads are not fraudulent. They have many systems and methods to detect stuff like this. It can single handedly ruin their network if they let stuff like this nip them in the bud.
