blogspot is most preferable
you can check that when you search something you will find blogspot mostly and I think google give preference to blogspot instead of other, after blogspot wordpress blogs also good....

I would use the wordpress domain, but preferably would spend $10 and buy a .com domain

I would suggest you to buy one .com domain.

I would not make your money site on a free host, because you lose control. What happens if the free hosting company decides to start putting ads on your site, or if they have lots of downtime (which causes your rankings to drop)?

It's definitely ok to have second tier sites on free hosting sites, but always get paid hosting for your money site.

Your not going to like my answer - but if you are planning on making this a business, invest in the domain and hosting, you will only benefit in the long run.. typically trying to take the cheap (or easy) way out will only bite you in the arse in the long run

domain names are cheap but they add up if you keep buying them!! especially for SEO purposes.

I would have to disagree. I have seen many professionals build a complete site using BLOGGER. In fact, a local lawyer had one of the TOP spots for a competitive phrase. Sure, it's not ideal to have Google own your property, but you definitely CAN make money using these sites.

BLOGGER and WEEBLY are great for starters. It's not like HubPages or Squidoo where there are ads splattered across the entire page.

these are all the blog website instead of webs and weebly, all are provide the sub domain, not a domain, these are not the free web hosting.
