Questions About This FB CPA Method

I've been experimenting here and there with FB pages lately and I'm growing a small fanbase on one of them. Recently I remembered learning about a simple way to market using this method and CPA offers, but I wanted to ask how much work might really be involved before I start away on designing everything. I want to mention that I'm also a songwriter, and that preoccupies a lot of my free time, so I've only been working on IM here and there.

I've been thinking about setting up an FB page related to a particular niche, growing a fanbase, posting engaging comments, etc. Once I start getting a decent number of likes, then I would set up a related blog, syndicate some articles (from directories that allow it), and apply to CPA networks. Once I was accepted to one, I would choose an offer which would seem to appeal to my demographic. So at that point I would just post a status update on my page with a link to a helpful article on my blog, and somewhere in the blog is the link to the CPA offer.

My questions are: Is it usually that simple? Is there a certain order I should do this in? And, how long does it usually take to set something like this up starting from scratch?

I actually do something very similar except I don't post up a blog. I just post a status that links to a static iframe tab which has a picture that links to the CPA offer. I think your idea is great as the blog can help increase conversions since it is in a related niche. How have you been building the fan base? Is it through Facebook ads?

Interesting, I want to look into that.

All I've been doing is just going around on pages that have several million likes and posting a relevant comment. I haven't even asked anybody to like my page. But truth be told, it's been about 2 months and I still don't have all that many likes.
