Does Adbrite Ad network serve Adsense ads

Just signed up to Adbrite and added a few ads to a page I'm developing and it seems like they only distribute adsense ads. Is this correct? and if so, why on earth would anyone choose to use them rather than just going directly to adsense.
TBH, it was a waste of time me signing up because I only did because I had used the maxium number of adsense ads allowed so I decided to find other providers to fill some gaps. Anyway all my ads, Adsense and Adbrite all have the AdOptions logo in the corner and only the allowed number of adsense ads will show anyway.
