Same case was with me. It seems no one is interested in buying ringtones these days.

I would simply say that ADMOB (never heard of em anyway) just doesnt have good quality traffic. For me, the ONLY thing that consistently converts is Adwords and YSM. PPC, that is. Best traffic anyway and allows me to get paid a heckuva lot more per lead from merchants if I send them GOOD quality leads that crappy ones, generated via 2nd or 3rd tier traffic networks. Time to change your strategy dude ![]() Any questions just let me know, Nick |

Admob is owned by google and is for mobile advertising but I can't say about their quality of their traffic. Quote:

Was this ringtone offer optimized for mobiles? Lot's of people promote offers that are made for PCs and not mobile phones.. This is probably the reason why you are not getting any conversions.. Lot's of ringtone offers use flash, and there are not many phones that can show flash. Do your research before sending traffic. Good luck!

Uh, first post promoting a ringtone company i never heard of. People are making ringtones, but only in very questionable and illegal ways. Mainly by fake facebook domains, fraudulent offers. The problem is that the real mobile content providers provide REAL content. |

Thanks for posting these findings though that gives a good insight into the behaviour of the individuals who click and also the quality of traffic. Maybe try a different route now and compare?

It still converts. Just make sure you target only wap traffic. People simply create apps to make money with ads and you get ****ty clicks. Split test between Mobile OS. You will see a lot of difference. Good luck |

I forgot to add the most important fact to stay away from admob unless you got money to lose. Admob is for in-app advertising and according to a survey 70% of US mobile users will not like any ad which opens in the native browser than within the app. That's my two cents.(. Sorry for any wrong English(if there))

Does that mean we can't make money off AdMob? NOTHING could be further from the truth. There's something called "interruption marketing". Your customer isn't actively searching for you (like AdWords PPC), they are occupying themselves. You're interrupting them with an ad, so you better have a good reason for doing so. Example: A good old potential client is hooked on a farmville app. What if they saw an ad to a free farmville gift card? At an average of 24 cent/click and a $3.20 payout for a mobile # submit + confirmation, you could easily be banking at 300-500% ROI. The same rule applies when targeting interests/demographics, you have to keep in mind "interruption marketing". So after my post, would you still stay away from AdMob? When something doesn't make money, I don't question the advertising platform, I question my own marketing.

I think none of the mobile advertising network including admob provides any kind of demographic/interest targetting. If there is,please tell,I wanna try them. Oh yes I agree that it should be 95% but I included the fact from an article I read. Also we don't know to whom the ad is shown. About your example , it is possible but chances are rare. I guess so,maybe you are right.

Also pumping ringtones to cell phones is kind of a given and saturated, have you tried other campaigns or just the 1?

I had same experience with you weeks ago. But now I am doing a little better. I agree with Shazia Mirza. Don't question the advertising platform, question your own marketing at first. and another advice I can give is communicating more with your account manager of your advertising network. He/she can help you a lot.

The traffic converts, it's not my best but I have gotten it to work. IMHO it is nothing to brag about. CHAD |
