Hello, Warriors!

Okay. This year is first time when i'm promoting offline in SUPERMARKETS at black friday. Really. Never ever before promoted offline at Supermarkets. Just in events , sport matches.

Okay, how I will start.

I have a team. Who's working for me ( offline. ) I've chosen 6 guys who will promote my sizzle cards, leaflets at supermarkets, malls. In 6 USA towns. Population starting from 300k+.

What we will do... :

On Tuesday I will find an offer, which we'll will promote + buy domains releated to my offer and I will create SIMPLE, NOT SO PROFESSIONAL design for my leaflets and sizzle cards.

On Wednesday I will pass designs to my workers and will pay $50 for every worker. ( $50 is for 5000 copies. )

On Thursday I will wait Friday

On Friday I will wait results.

On next days... I will still wait results...

How much I will spend for this thing?

6x$50 for printing 30,000 copies of my stuff. = $300
6x$100 for paying my workers 'fixed-salary'

= $600
6 domains x $10 = $60 ( no bought yet. )
TOTAL *** $960 ***

My target is to make $5,000 from 30,000 sizzle cards. I think I will make more, but it will be my target. I will try to find a more paying CPA offer releated to Black Friday day, it will be hard, but hope i will find, if no i will choose simple email submit offer ( shopping offer). So that means that i will need to have more than 10% conversion rate.

Nice work taking action.

In terms of offer, that is going to be the trick. If you do an email submit or something, it's going to be super tough. Think about the numbers a bit.

Straight conversion rate is the rate of people who visit your sales page who actually convert into an Action. If you put up 100 flyers, those may only produce 10 visitors and if the conversion rate is 10% then you are only getting one conversion out of 100 flyers....meaning your flyer to visitor conversion is 1%, not 10%

With that said, 100 flyers can bring in 1000 visitors if 10 people visit for every flyer and the numbers can work in your favor.

Also realize that you won't get credit for every conversion...that's just the nature of email submits.

So hypothetically, if you have 30,000 flyers, then hopefully 20,000 will actually get put up by your workers. If 20,000 flyers result in 5,000 visitors then you need to look at your offer. If you do an email submit that pays $2 and get credit for half your conversions, then you essentially need to convert every single visitor to get the $5,000 revenue.

I don't want to just give you bad news, just want to give you some insight into the numbers part of the flyer marketing process. I've done a lot of flyer marketing and email submits never really worked.

In any event, wishing you tremendous success and hopefully your conversions and flyer-lander conversion numbers are excellent!

One last piece of advice...perhaps drive your traffic to a few offers across a few networks. Don't want all your eggs in one basket especially if you haven't cleared your offline traffic with your AMs yet.

But most of my offline profit made cpa offers which paying like 20-40$. So a bit scary invest nearly a grand and have bad results on email submits

Sounds good.. I cant wait to crack the code on CPA marketing. I haven't had much success... Is it harder to get email submits these days or something? I get tons of click throughs like @SignUP but no conversions...and i had assistants posting comments with links to my offers. 80 comments per day from 16 different accounts. I was losing money...

What types of offers are you guys marketing.. I thought everyone would want an iPhone 4s for free. LOL.. I was totally mistaken.

I'm going to add you as a friend.. Can't wait to hear this case study.. I'm thinking of doing something for blackfriday too.. Online tho...

Hey guys

I decided to promote 3 offers:

1) Financial Cash [PayDay Loan] (paying from $12 up to $25 still thinking what network to choose.
2) $3500 Black Friday Shopping [ paying $1.70 per lead. ]
3) $1000 Walmart gift card [That's should be hot in this days!! ]

So i also changed days when we start work. We'll start on Thursday. And end of work will be late Friday.

Maybe you getting junk traffic. Or bot traffic. If no, maybe not enough clicks to one conversion?

Read Kenster post in this theard "Also realize that you won't get credit for every conversion...that's just the nature of email submits. "

For example - facebook. I'm getting so many clicks, but CTR never exceed 10%.

Not sure exactly what you are saying here but I was just pointing out that email submits are hard to outsource and profit from because of the conversion rate, scrubbing, low payout etc.

After that you only really have say short forms, and more forms,

I just dont see how asking someone to fill out a "long" form would be easier than asking them for an email address, and maybe physical address if they want to recieve the gift card they sign up for

More paying offer. I'm talking about free-trial offers. Really work pretty good

and pays $20-$40 per lead.

It is easier to get an email address, he is just pointing out it usually is not worth it with this method. You have to figure in the cost of outsourcing, printing, etc. and then run the numbers.

You could say ( hypothetically ) that flyering will convert at 1%, maybe less. If you distribute 1,000 flyers then you could expect that 10 will get you an action. Remember that this can vary due to many different circumstances.

So say that because it's easier to get a conversion because of a simple email submit you were to convert at even 5% ( This would be very high, IMO ).

1,000 x .05% = 50 conversions. 50 conversions x 1.50 = $75.00

After printing, outsourcing, time invested and so on does this look like it would be worth the effort? It looks to me like you would actually LOSE money in this scenario.

Now, take a $40 offer at 1%. 1,000 x 1% = 10 conversions x 40 = $400. The conversion ratio is significantly lower, but your ROI is much higher. And you actually have a budget now where you can afford to pay for outsourcing AND printing without losing in the process.

With a higher paying offer, even though your conversion ratio is less, you have a much better chance to actually make a profit.

As Jeff said above, sure the email submit will be the easiest to convert but that doesn't mean you will make the most money. Think about this.

You have 1000 flyers

You get 100 visits from those flyers

If you promote an email submit, maybe you have a 30% conversion rate and let's say the payout is $2. That would be $60 rev. Of that, let's say you only end up seeing $40 (scrubbing etc).

So conversion rate 30% and revenue $30

Now let's take a $30 payout offer.

Instead of a 30% conversion rate, now you get a 3% conversion rate. You will probably get credit for all the conversions, so that is $90 rev.

Even though the conversion rate was 1/10 of the email submit, you end up with 3 times the profit.

Agreed, couldn't have put it better.

Dont waste your time and money on email submits, its just not worth it. Do something that pays you a lot more, such as insurance quotes, loans or debt. You get 20x - 30x more money for doing the exact same thing ... collecting a name, phone number and email, that is.

It also allows you to work with proper profit margins as the payouts are so much bigger, and no sale is required either, just a simple form submit

Im in Australia at the moment and here is my plan :

1. Design a flyer with an ipad2 offer with QR code on it. ("Scan it, Win it") Cost : Free

2. Print out 200 copys (black&white), 8 ads on one paper so its 1600 small flyers (Cost :20$)

3. Hire 2 people to hand out the flyers in metro area in one day. Cost : 80$

Payout for this offer is 10.50$ its a pin submit. (Network CR 10%)

4. I will be watching them while they work to make shure all flyers are handed out!

So if i get :

1% CR that`s 16 x 10.50 = 168$ (Profit 68$)
5% CR that`s 80 x 10.50 = 840$ (Profit 740$)
10% CR that`s 160 x 10.50 = 1680$ (Profit 1580$)

Realistic? I hope so, everybody has a smartphone here..so it is not a problem.

Hey Nick, totally agree with you. I always had success with these and hardly make profitable with email zip submits. Have you ever tried to collect the optin leads yourself and then monetize them in the back end? I mean the same niches as the majority of email submits are?

Arrested, oh gosh. That's the tough thing about outsourcing flyer campaigns like that. Unless you get into developing contracts (which may turn off potential employees) some liability for that type of stuff falls on your shoulders.

I guess that's all employee/employer relationships or contractor relationships. They don't need to be employees of you for you to be liable

But I'm hoping everything worked out okay in the end for you

Okay, I've heard of cops giving out warnings for passing out flyers or cards, but I've just never heard of people getting arrested for it.

Your ad spend would still be up there for a prominent enough ad in one of those papers to impress a similar number of people to the same extent. As far as a "better investment," how often does anyone see 600% returns in that short a period of time?

I may have a twist that could help boost conversions. Put a QR code on the flyer that leads to a facebook opt in app. I have been shopping for one that does not require aweber, so if you know of one let me know. I digress...so now mobile users click the qr code, and with a single click agree to the facebook email opt in, then are taken to the thank you page> (CPA offer). Some will convert but all who get there will have given you a valid email address to market to. Also, just register one domain: a com- and use subdomains to target the offer. For example I own com-home.us, it makes no sense until I add a subdomain and make it: walmart.com-home.us.

you can add anything behind the dash like html487 and it still looks legit: walmart.com-html487. So I can have any dot com I want ie. iphone4.com-home.us. or sears.com-home.us. whatever, no restrictions. Love to hear your thoughts.

There's plenty more to aim at. I'm giving this a go myself - just ordered a bunch of cards aiming at people skint over xmas

sort of deal, which redirects to a pay day loan offer. As Friday was pay day for most people I figure give it a week or so (got to wait for the cards to come anyway) and people will have shopped a fair bit and be worrying about finances again.

Since I live in London I'll aim at the poorer parts of town and hand them out there, where people might really use a cash injection whilst buying presents

There is always some level of liability if somebody is doing work for you. You can come up with a crazy contract to rid yourself of a vast majority of the liability but there will always be some risk.

Hello everyone

Right, so first about my income. I made around 5k$ not 7k$ there was some not correct stats from AM.

Second about my arrested worker. Hehe There is no big deal! He was promoting offer IN THE SHOP. But he did ask customer services if he can hand-out these sizzle cards. But later on shop administrator ( with no warning ) called to police and police took him to police station. But everything went okay.

What about my campaign.

Payday loan campaign made me $3720.
$3,500 black friday shopping campaign made me $1167.9 ( 687 LEADS!!! )
With walmart gift card i'm so unhappy! Received just 2k+ clicks and JUST 109 LEADS !

So from this campaign i just got around 130 bucks..

So as you can see, i made ~$5020 from $1000 investment.

I'm happy. But some of my internet friends who DID that too. Even with less investment, they made more money, I think it's because:

1) Gift card offers workers started promote on friday. ( Payday loan offer was started promoting on Wednesday. )

I made $4000 profit from nearly ZERO work.

Next time i'm thinking to hire more guys for this, and start promoting 1 week before Black Friday with shopping related offers, that will be great! maybe next time will do more testing before taking offer to promote offline. Because for example Walmart Gift Card so converting badly. And receiving not much click.

If it did in fact work that well, than you should be able to make money beyond just black friday. Maybe the results wont be AS good, but you should still turn profit. There is always a holiday!

I'm living outside of the US, but i'm still making good money.

One word - Outsourcing. But sure, if you do not have money for start, t
hat's sucks, because you can not work with cpa offers at your country.

If you want to know my opinion on that.... Go to clickbank, choose offer like hm... Paid surveys, get paid for filling surveys.

Make leaflets in your language, and just put everywhere in your town

You should make some 'start-up' money.

That's great! This is exactly what I needed to stimulate my brain. A live case study with results. This makes me think, I live in a big city so I can easily find high traffic places to promote offers as well! Christmas time is coming soon and there are bound to be many offers! Hello, Warriors! Okay. This year is first time when i'm promoting offline in SUPERMARKETS at black friday. Really. Never ever before promoted offline at Supermarkets. Just in events , sport matches. Okay, how I will start. I have a team. Who's working for me ( offline. ) I've chosen 6 guys who will promote my sizzle cards, leaflets at supermarkets, malls. In 6 USA towns. Population starting from 300k+. What we will do... : On Tuesday I will find an offer, which we'll will promote + buy domains releated to my offer and I will create SIMPLE, NOT SO PROFESSIONAL design for my leaflets and sizzle cards. On Wednesday I will pass designs to my workers and will pay $50 for every worker. ( $50 is for 5000 copies. ) On Thursday I will wait Friday . On Friday I will wait results. On next days... I will still wait results... How much I will spend for this thing? 6x$50 for printing 30,000 copies of my stuff. = $300 6x$100 for paying my workers 'fixed-salary' = $600 6 domains x $10 = $60 ( no bought yet. ) TOTAL * $960 * My target is to make $5,000 from 30,000 sizzle cards. I think I will make more, but it will be my target. I will try to find a more paying CPA offer releated to Black Friday day, it will be hard, but hope i will find, if no i will choose simple email submit offer ( shopping offer). So that means that i will need to have more than 10% conversion rate. Haha. Wish me good luck.

Nice work taking action. In terms of offer, that is going to be the trick. If you do an email submit or something, it's going to be super tough. Think about the numbers a bit. Straight conversion rate is the rate of people who visit your sales page who actually convert into an Action. If you put up 100 flyers, those may only produce 10 visitors and if the conversion rate is 10% then you are only getting one conversion out of 100 flyers....meaning your flyer to visitor conversion is 1%, not 10% With that said, 100 flyers can bring in 1000 visitors if 10 people visit for every flyer and the numbers can work in your favor. Also realize that you won't get credit for every conversion...that's just the nature of email submits. So hypothetically, if you have 30,000 flyers, then hopefully 20,000 will actually get put up by your workers. If 20,000 flyers result in 5,000 visitors then you need to look at your offer. If you do an email submit that pays $2 and get credit for half your conversions, then you essentially need to convert every single visitor to get the $5,000 revenue. I don't want to just give you bad news, just want to give you some insight into the numbers part of the flyer marketing process. I've done a lot of flyer marketing and email submits never really worked. In any event, wishing you tremendous success and hopefully your conversions and flyer-lander conversion numbers are excellent! One last piece of advice...perhaps drive your traffic to a few offers across a few networks. Don't want all your eggs in one basket especially if you haven't cleared your offline traffic with your AMs yet. Best of luck

I get tons of click throughs like @SignUP but no conversions...and i had assistants posting comments with links to my offers. 80 comments per day from 16 different accounts. I was losing money... What types of offers are you guys marketing.. I thought everyone would want an iPhone 4s for free. LOL.. I was totally mistaken. I'm going to add you as a friend.. Kenster, if email submits are not ideal for fliers, then what is? After that you only really have say short forms, and more forms, I just dont see how asking someone to fill out a "long" form would be easier than asking them for an email address, and maybe physical address if they want to recieve the gift card they sign up for

Im in Australia at the moment and here is my plan : 1. Design a flyer with an ipad2 offer with QR code on it. ("Scan it, Win it") Cost : Free 2. Print out 200 copys (black&white), 8 ads on one paper so its 1600 small flyers (Cost :20$) 3. Hire 2 people to hand out the flyers in metro area in one day. Cost : 80$ Payout for this offer is 10.50$ its a pin submit. (Network CR 10%) 4. I will be watching them while they work to make shure all flyers are handed out! So if i get : 1% CR that`s 16 x 10.50 = 168$ (Profit 68$) 5% CR that`s 80 x 10.50 = 840$ (Profit 740$) 10% CR that`s 160 x 10.50 = 1680$ (Profit 1580$) Realistic? I hope so, everybody has a smartphone here..so it is not a problem.

I may have a twist that could help boost conversions. Put a QR code on the flyer that leads to a facebook opt in app. I have been shopping for one that does not require aweber, so if you know of one let me know. I digress...so now mobile users click the qr code, and with a single click agree to the facebook email opt in, then are taken to the thank you page> (CPA offer). Some will convert but all who get there will have given you a valid email address to market to. Also, just register one domain: a com- and use subdomains to target the offer. For example I own com-home.us, it makes no sense until I add a subdomain and make it: walmart.com-home.us. you can add anything behind the dash like html487 and it still looks legit: walmart.com-html487. So I can have any dot com I want ie. iphone4.com-home.us. or sears.com-home.us. whatever, no restrictions. Love to hear your thoughts.

Hello everyone Right, so first about my income. I made around 5k$ not 7k$ there was some not correct stats from AM. Second about my arrested worker. Hehe There is no big deal! He was promoting offer IN THE SHOP. But he did ask customer services if he can hand-out these sizzle cards. But later on shop administrator ( with no warning ) called to police and police took him to police station. But everything went okay. What about my campaign. Payday loan campaign made me $3720. $3,500 black friday shopping campaign made me $1167.9 ( 687 LEADS!!! ) With walmart gift card i'm so unhappy! Received just 2k+ clicks and JUST 109 LEADS ! So from this campaign i just got around 130 bucks.. So as you can see, i made ~$5020 from $1000 investment. I'm happy. But some of my internet friends who DID that too. Even with less investment, they made more money, I think it's because: 1) Gift card offers workers started promote on friday. ( Payday loan offer was started promoting on Wednesday. ) I made $4000 profit from nearly ZERO work. Next time i'm thinking to hire more guys for this, and start promoting 1 week before Black Friday with shopping related offers, that will be great! maybe next time will do more testing before taking offer to promote offline. Because for example Walmart Gift Card so converting badly. And receiving not much click. Okay guys, so that's it for now. Have a great day -Daniel.

If it did in fact work that well, than you should be able to make money beyond just black friday. Maybe the results wont be AS good, but you should still turn profit. There is always a holiday!
