Default Help with Amazon Affiliate network

Is there a place, forum, guide, etc where I can find out more information about Amazon's affiliate network? I'm looking for info on how much they pay out, does it include whether someone buys a use or new item, commission structure, etc.

I think they pay somewhere around 10% of sales price, which is almost nothing considering the person needs to actually BUY something. Personally, I never dabbled into retail, as its VERY hard and the margins are VERY small.

Getting paid for a "potential customer" instead of a "sale" is a lot more lucrative for any affiliate and splits the risk right down the middle between you and the merchant. You might want to consider that instead of going into retail.

Any questions just let me know,
Nick

Thanks for the insights, Nick. I thought about this as well and I want to promote products via affiliate networks but since my site is regarding nutrition I only want to promote quality product(s) since I've built a fairly decent reputation.

10%? That's way too high, for the first 6 transactions, Amazon gives you 4% commissions and increase based on the amount transactions you make during that month. For the next month, the system resets again, which mean every month you'll start with 4% commissions.

You can find the information here:
affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/join/compensation.html (I can't post a live link coz I only have 10 posts).

melovedogs right.
Earnings Summary
Total items shipped 455
Referral Rate7.50%
Increase your referral rate to 8.00% by referring 176 more items.
TOTAL EARNINGS *$738.60

that's my earning with one account. to get 8% commission, i must sell 455+176 = 631 sales.

first start, amazon gives you commission 4% then 6% then 6,5% then 7% and then 7,5% .....

@ badboy_Nick, you are Super Affiliate. how can you don't know about this ?

Hi kedipmata, you said something about earning with one account, I think it's more profitable to earn in one account compared to multiple accounts as the commission rate would be much higher if you sell all items from one account only.

Anyway, it's nice to see my Indonesian fellow here

Ye,they pay you when someone buy through your links. The commission rate is very low at first but it can be higher when you promote more items. But have you considered the cpa marketing.Cause there're many CPS offers out there too.
