Should I hire a SEO expert for a landing page?

I've tried 7search and media traffic with my landing page with no results. However, once or twice a week I'll get a conversion off my youtube video.

And yes, the landing page is more of a squeeze page to collect their emails. I was wondering if I should hire a SEO expert to optimize the page?

I'd try basic on-page and off-page seo before spending money on an expert. Just google 'basic seo' to find more information.

No way! Just do your basic on-page stuff and then outsource some backlinking.

Build your standard About, Contact, Privacy pages and then put up a couple pages around some keyword phrases.

You are mentioning 7Search/PPV...but this has nothing to do with SEO, rather than with good sales copy on your site.

A SEO can help you rank in Google, but if you do PPC/PPV you usually don't care about rankings...so why would you want a SEO?

You need a marketer looking over your site seeing why it doesnt convert..not a SEO.

Also: A (good) SEO might get your page to top in the search engines, all right, but this doesn't mean that the offer then would magically convert. You could be #1 in Google and still have a bad converting page and offer and get little sales.

Why not just read up on it and learn it yourself? You will save the money and help yourself out in the long run. Also IMO lots to be successful at SEO, you need to put a lot of offsite work in as well.

Yep, just work on your sales funnel, not necessarily the SEO

SEO won't help. Only if you are trying to move away from PPC networks.

Build some modifications of your current landing pages. Or look for some free ones on the net. Do some split testing till you find one that works.

With PPC on sites like 7Search you will also have to test A LOT of traffic from MANY different keywords. That's the only way you will find something that works.

No, here's why:

If you have a somewhat decent landing page, then the problem is the TRAFFIC ! If you get your LP to a decent standard, then what you need is to throw as much traffic at it and see what sticks. Looks like youtube is working, so do more of it. 7search and media traffic doesnt seem to convert ... or at least not the keywords you are bidding on.

Try this: ADWORDS, YSM, BING! Send 1000 clicks, monitor the conversions and then cut out all the keywords which didnt convert ... and ONLY run on the keywords which make you money. Simple! 95% of your money should be invested into traffic anyway.

Videos work for me.

I would not hire a SEO expert. I need to know yourself what you are doing wrong.

And I agree with Niel - testing is extremely important. Especially if you use PPV or PPC.

GeorgeR is 100% spot-on. SEO has ZERO to do with what you are doing so I'm not sure why people are offering you SEO services.

You need someone to review your landing page and make recommendations that will improve conversions.

I would not hire a SEO expert. I need to know yourself what you are doing wrong. And I agree with Niel - testing is extremely important. Especially if you use PPV or PPC.
