My ad got approved on buysellads... and its showing on the website i even got a few clicks but its not showing on my cupid plc dashboard..

How long does it take for cupid plc to update? is it real time or day time?
Also any tips on a successfull banner campaign for this newbie...

Well most of the networks are real time and about clicks as clicks on buysell ads are not targeted so you might be getting clicks from other countries and about successful banner campaigns test different banners and only keep banners with high ctr and make sure your banner is placed above fold to get maximum exposure

Here is the misnomer that many think: get a click, make a sale ...

It's definitely not that easy (or guaranteed).

Ask yourself this: how many links, banners, searches do you click on BEFORE you purchase something? 10? 100? 1000?

Based on that, your rate of purchase vs. clicks should equate about the same.

I would stay safe and be happy with one purchase per 300-500 clicks.

There are so many variables.

1. Is your product popular?
2. Is the traffic you attain targeted to your product category?
3. How appealing is your banner/text link description?
4. Whats the cost?

Offering something "free" upfront (newsletter, free software too, whatever) is always a popular vehicle to get people "in the door" so to speak.
