do you have to have a great looking website or just a decent one because my site building skills are getting better but they suck right now

You don't need a great looking site to get accepted. What you need is a site with some original content and a couple of ads already on the page. What I did to get accepted by my first CPA network was to set up a Wordpress blog then used the html widget to add a couple of Clickbank banners to it for monetization. If you're not sure how to do this, you can find someone at Fiverr to do it for you for five bucks.

After the site is set up and you have three or four original articles posted and they are at least a week or two old, apply to a CPA network. Make sure to call the phone number to the CPA network right after you submit your application and let them know you are ready to get to work promoting offers.

I found that what works like a charm for me is to let them know I'll be using PPC and my blog to drive traffic. CPAs love PPC traffic. In order to keep true to my work, I'll usually send a few dollars worth of PPC traffic to an offer to start out, but work diligently to get free traffic.

Honestly you are probably worrying way too much about it, the networks ask for a website typically to see where you are getting your traffic from, the biggest thing is just to be honest

There are Networks that accepts pubs without a site...Just tell them what your traffic source is, which i guess is not your site obviously. Important thing is you must talk to them personally to get accepted! Many people feel its the biggest hurdle but it doesn't have to be if you're upfront about your traffic. You may have trouble getting into bigger networks but with the smaller ones you're sure to get an account..! There are Networks owners here in WF itself..just ping them if you need an account!
