Default Finding keywords and niche

So i am finding buyer keywords and a niche atm. I am watching a training video for it and it says when you put in " keyword" it should be lower then 50k and when you add inanchor: it should be lower then 5k. For some reason its like impossible to find something like this. All the results are usually 150k+ . I need some help and the more backlinks and the higher pagerank on sites makes it go up in google right? Is this right and should i go after a keyword if its over 50k like maybe 200k? and if its like 100k anchor? Or is that wayyy too much competition

Remember any SEO advice you get is based on the best guesstimate of what works. Use those numbers as guides only, you don't have to stick to them hard and fast.

My limited experience told me if someone wants to find a beneficial keyword or niche, search from affiliate networks will be a good choice. Find those hot sale products, most affiliate networks got a top sale list, choose your niche from there. As to numbers, 50k? 100? 200k? It depends on your plan, how many resources you have? How much time you would spend on the niche? etc. If you don't want to spend much time, try long tail keywords, there are lots of long-tail keywords on the list.

I think 200.000 is way too much. Try find different combinations of buyer keywords. In the end its all about trying. You could also check out market samurai. It isnt a free tool but with that tool you can see how strong your first page competitors are. And yes you will move up in google if you get backlinks from high page rank websites.

In my opinion you should target minor long tail keywords for fast and best targeted results.
