I think the best way is to buy a shared hosting (from hostgator) and a domain (at namecheap, godaddy), install wordpress on your hosting, and then just download a nice wordpress theme for your site.

Creating website with wordpress is very simple. You will have to buy hosting and domain name. than install wordpress.

Goto Namecheap Buy u r desired name domain,then goto Hostgator Search for Coupons Use that coupons to buy Hosting after that Just install WP from u r cPanel You can use Many tutorials in Hostgator site.

Get a domain that fits what you want to do.

Use wordpress. You can get some themes that look extremely professional and yet are super easy to deal with. It's very newbie friendly.

This is going to take a couple of months. If you're not ready to invest at least 8+ weeks of your time (which is NOTHING for the returns) into trial and learning, then IM is not for you. If you are, then I suggest you go to hostgator and get a unlimited web hosting account. Then you can go to godaddy and buy a domain name and host it through your hostgator account. Use and learn wordpress, from there learn SEO, and you can take that to all sorts of areas of IMing, and from there on its up to your creativity to take that knowledge and make money from it, whether you're making sites for somebody, or making your own sites promoting affiliate products and CPA offers, or making your own products and selling them, etc...

Here's my process of creating a site:

1. Research keywords.
2. Host with Hostgator.
3. Buy domain with Godaddy
4. Outsource content.
5. Outsource backlinking.

If you don't know absolutely nothing about creating a website then I would recommend Googling "how to create a website". There is a lot of details that go into creating a website. Once you get the hang of it you can make dozens of sites a day.

My suggestion purchasing hosting and registering a domain name. If you want to go with a free alternative, try Blogger or WordPress.
