I'm up a creek w/out a paddle with this whole CPA stuff. I'm going to be honest it seems like CPA is overhyped bs that only 1-2% of affiliates may actually ever succeed at. I read the Kensters guide and although a lot of it made sense a lot of it didn't really convert in my head. What didn't convert is the actual level of effort required to make some income. Visit the WSO forum and you can get rich in 1 day. Visit the internet marketing forum and you're told you're very unlikely to get make any money at all unless you work your ass off at it. Am I wrong or is this forum extremely bias? If you guys delete negative reviews than why don't you delete positive reviews too? You know in research we don't just take all the studies we are unhappy with and delete them? That devalues the integrity of the information one would recieve. I like this forum but I don't feel like I can trust a single person on it. Am not trying to bash anyone. But really is there any money in CPA? Is this even worth getting involved in? Or do 99% of people who try it not make over $5? I just need a more holistic view of this before I decide to start running contests/sweepstakes in my local area. If I'm going to sit around for hours in a public place to people can log into my affiliate page I want to know there is actual money to be made in it. Will someone just honestly explain to me what CPA is all about? Its near impossible to derive any type of levelheaded opinion about it especially going through this forum with all the pots of gold by the rainbow guides. I mean really I don't want to ask how many people succeeded at CPA maybe I should ask how many of you tried it and said "eff this"? Cause even when I threw the idea by my brothers who's been in IT for 40 years he said that is the worst industry any person can possibly get into (affiliate marketing). He said the people are worse than cars salesman and will sell their own families bodyparts on the blackmarket just to make an extra buck. He also explained how CPA is about nothing but stealing peoples information and how when an offer goes away and a company can't profit it off anymore, that company always will sell the information of the people who us affiliates worked so hard to make money off of. Like they will say "your information is safe" but once the company itself is in harm of going out of business, he said 99% of these companies will try to profit off all the information they have by selling it. He also said its one of the most unethical business's a person could get into. Is this true? Cause he's also filed a case against our own goverments website for selling his information to other companies. He actually knows a lot about the laws and hates to see companies do this. So when I told him I was thinking about getting in CPA he had A TON of horrible things to say. This is someone who tends to right about most things I ask him so I always trust his opinion. He said the entire field of marketing has become about information. The more emails/names you can steal the more money you can make selling them. Is this true? Or is he just twisted/bitter about reality of the world we live in? |
