Hello Warrior's, So most of you are in CPA industry or many are atleast planning to get IN right? Great ! So, here's a piece of information which you will really like ![]() Always maintain a healthy and good relationship with your Affiliate Manager.. You might be now thinking like why should I or Is it necessary to do so? Or many things might be buzzing your mind right? Well, If you don't know then I would like to tell you that your Affiliate Manager is the person you totally rely on and he is the person with many benefits for you like- - Exclusive Payout's : Sounds good huh? Yes, If you are getting paid $0.50 for an offer and if you have a good relationship with your AM and he knows you then you know what? He can increase those rates "EXCLUSIVELY FOR YOU" - Special Bonuses : YEAH !! If you are good at their network with nice relationship with your AM then your manager can provide you with SPECIAL BONUSES like- Extra cash for nice performance, exclusive deals just for you,etc - Payment Stuffs : Haven't yet received the payment huh? Well, you can get paid 2-3 days before too if your AM know's you and trusts you ! Sometimes payments aren't in your AM's hands but he can sort it out by talking to CEO or Payment guys ! +LOTS OF BENEFITS ! Yeah there could be many more benefits which you might have not imagined ! You might be thinking that Now how do i build a good relation with my AM? Right? - Thank Them : Well, It isn't a hard nut to crack Just be in their eye's by making good performance and Possibly thank them everytime you get paid..... Thanking them will give them a special attention that you are a nice guy who atleast respect's their work and someday they will definately talk with you !- Consult your traffic strategies : with your AM and let them know your idea's about promotion and take their thoughts on it ! Sometimes they can save you from breaking T&C's a well as sometimes from wrong campaigns(for PPC,PPV,etc) There could be many ways ! I just gave you the OUTLINE of the things, Now you have to make a story with it. PS: To make a relationship with your AM, Dont start wishing them " Good Morning " when you open your PC in daytime and wish them " GOOD NIGHT " when you leave your PC lol I hope it helped ![]() Regards ~Sam~ |

I'm glad you liked it So, lets suppose if 100 peoples of network X saw this thread and minimum 60 people started wishing their AM's good morning... Then dont you think Manager will get stunned as well as quite disturbed to Answer those 60 people " Good morning "

I think the thing that many affiliates forget is affiliate managers are there to help YOU make more money, use them, ask them for help, ask them for tips, utilize them! there is no right or wrong question for them, if they can help you - chances are they will

I ask AM's about what other affiliates are doing, for converting landing pages, and whatever info I can get my hands on. Key is to reveal as little about your business as possible. And get as much info from the AM as possible.

they provide tips and ideas . They also your friend What people think AM is their 'slave' that find them a working campaign and hand it over to them. Why don't they do that themselves? Also, use your own judgement. I like to work with some smaller network that they have enough AM to help you out. Think about it. A network run by 5 people (1 owner, 2 AMs , 1 PR and 1 account) and have over 7k affiliates are not going to have enough time for you. 10% affiliates (conservative) are active means they have to handle 700 people active to handle. Most of the time those network has no time for you. They are more focus on affiliates that making 20-100k per day rather. Choose a reputable network is important and also make sure they have time for you. There's no formula. You have to find out yourself. |

| They took what I was doing and shared it with their other affiliates. I've also asked and was absolutely SHOCKED when an affiliate manager at another network told me exactly how a big cpa marketer was doing his campaigns. Even sent me the landing page he was using. I've had 4 good ones that I trust over the years, the rest, no way. Think about it, their job is to get as much revenue coming in as possible. IF they hear or know of a great method, then some of them, (who don't think past tomorrow), are going to share it. I'm not saying all AM's are scum, there are some great ones, but some of them are not to be trusted at all. I know that some even take the job JUST to see how big affiliates work, then quit after they have seen all their campaigns. I'm not saying don't build a relationship with them, you can if you want, but I've never found socializing with an AM to make me anymore money then I can on my own. Guess it's a case of a few bad apples ruining it for everyone imho. |

A fundamentally amicable relationship with your AM is one thing, but I just can't see it making that much sense for most publishers to be completely transparent about campaign details. An AM knows that he/she could benefit via successful campaign DETAILS either by personally implementing the strategies himself/herself or by increasing network revenues (which would likely mean increased compensation and/or job security) by leaking important campaign details to much larger affiliates with greater investment capital and experience with more diverse traffic sources for scaling (and doing so quickly), bid competition, the risks associated with lower profit margins, and what not. There are quite a few ways an AM could suppress proof of what's transpiring too. |

No outlines, no strategies, need to be revealed. You can strike conversations with AMs without sharing strategies. As PPC Coach has said, AM's are in it to make money and will share your traffic strategies and landing pages.

I have a question: do you call your AM everyday? How often? I spoke to mine on Friday. Got some good converting offers and have a plan for more than enough to keep me busy all week long if not longer. Its going to take me some time to implement. After I spoke with her Friday, she said, ok, talk to you Monday! I didnt understand why she would want to talk to me on Monday? Obviously Im new and havent earned anything with them yet. Ive very good job faking it till I make it. Its making me a little nervous feeling like I have to check in. I put enough pressure on myself. Feedback? |

If you don't want to talk to her on Monday, just tell her you don't have anything to update as you're getting your campaigns rolled out and analyzing the data, etc. Tell her you'll ping her on Wednesday or whatever or if something comes up. As others have said, I would say that I have had/have a good relationship with a handful, some moreso than others. I don't ever reveal my specific creatives. I've had an offer or two where the advertiser had to approve the creatives early on as it was new. I ran a small campaign, made some money and the offer eventually died, but I was ok sending the images and such early on. Normally, I don't do this. But as far as frequency goes, when I'm running a number of campaigns, I'll hear from my AM 3-4 times a week depending. If I have nothing for them or need anything from them, I'll simply say thanks for checking in, still trying to get xyz rolling, etc. Danny

Wow Danny thank you. I was wondering about a lot of that. And you answered fully. I'm doing a few flyer campaigns. She even told me about a guy doing well with direct tv at swap meats so to say the least I was releived to hear she was cool wih offline. I did forget to ask if I can direct link. I did mention I was going to do ppc upon sign up but can't right now. I can't say I'm crazy about the pressure on the other end . I'm already naturally in overdrive. I used to be in sales . Did not like it much. ![]() I now have a better perspective why she might push a little and to just be honest with her. |

Also if you've set up a solid relationship with your AM then ask for a paybump, even just an extra dollar will give you enough of a margin to potentially turn negative ROI campaigns profitable. You're missing out if you just accept the standard network payout. |

Great post thanks for sharing! Indeed having a good relationship with your affiliate manager can help. It's also good to be involved with a reputable CPA company that scrubs little or none at all. Do your research!
