I was checking out this thread.... 2012 then after googling 2012 I realize a movie will be released soon... 2012 - Official Movie Site this is a prime example how to make money off a popular topic or news event. You use the debate or controversy when you set up an offer landing page. You then ask a question to get the visitor engaged and you blend in a suitable CPA offer or affiliate link. Even if you use PPC...you will get cheap clicks before the topic is a full blown, and fully searched for topic. Just be creative. |

I used to wake up 6am and check news stories for the latest buzz and create those "Do You Think xx Should go Jail...Vote & win" sites but it just got far too time consuming did make a killing on the whole mike vick incident for a while

That's right Jason, opportunities all around us. I was just reading today about the developer of "Guitar Hero" with a "DJ Hero" in the works...little tidbits of information can mean dollars for us marketers whether they make it or not! Just use the buzz to divert some cash to your site/offer/landingpage/affiliate link. | |

agree, being creative is very important. using the same vanilla approach to every new buzz topic probably won't net you enough return to justify doing it
