Default Network joining Tips and avoid being shafted to bad

Hello,

I see a lot of post saying Network ### is not paying anymore or is scam. I want to give some pointers to the newer people joining cpa on how to avoid losing to much. I will list some tips below to help prevent you from being burned to bad.

1 - Research, Always research a network before even wasting your time filling out a application. Never go by just one persons word of mouth or one sites suggestions. Examples Affiliate Paying is a great source to get a idea about a network. However do not just rely on this. Check reviews for similarities to make sure its just not one person building false rep on there network. Check screen shots, Look for out of sync lines or blurry sections anything that might look edited.

Then when you find one you think you want to join then Google the networks name and see if people are saying bad things about them on forums. See how it was resolved but be careful because a lot of people who send fraud will make a post in hopes to scare the network into paying so look for several on this network.

Example I Google YeahCpa scam (sorry but you guys screwed me too so live with it) and the whole front page of Google is listed with people complaining. STAY away lol

2 - Back up, Never put all your eggs into one basket i do not care what anyone says. I run my own network and would love for people to send me all traffic but being honest this is not a smart move when you are first starting out with a network. I do not care who the network is. Example look at copeac, This was one of the top paying networks for a long time and now due to legal issues are one of the worst.

Point being always have 2 to 3 networks and the second you smell something bad move to one of your other networks. You never know when one is going to fall and as you seen with Copeac it can happen over nite, The reasoning behind this is the second one goes under or you find out there scam you have a back up ready to go up with limited time wasted in between.

3 - No pay, No Traffic, I see a lot of publishers saying i am owed Apr, May, June and July. WTF no one should ever be in a situation like this. As a network owner i know i usually have all commissions and reversals by the 15th of the following month (Some a little longer but always before the end of the month).

Best Example you sent traffic in July, As you continue to push traffic in August if you have not received your payment by September 5th maybe even the 10th then screw them Stop traffic and inform then when you are paid you will continue to send traffic. Do not fall for the advertiser this BS or the due to whatever bs they give you. If they are this late then chances are they have financial issues and there is no sense in wasting 2 to 3 months of traffic waiting on them to stop giving false promises cause in the end you will be out a lot of money.

Simple Email Hello, I am owed for July, I just want to inform you as of today Sept 5th i have changed my links to another network. However i would love to continue to work with you but until i am compensated for July's Payment i will not be sending you one click.

Rule of thumb Networks are nothing with out you, So do not let them take advantage of you. you will be surprised how fast they try to get you payment as they only make money when you make money.

Another good reason for back up is if you join a network that looks legit but still worried you can split send your traffic even if one network pays more or claims to pay quicker. Remember Promises can be broken just as easy as they are written. Say you send network 1k, The one that pays more that you wish to send all traffic to is the one you are worried about. So send one $500 and the Other $500. This way the following month or pay period you know if they pay or not. If they do go $750 on one then $250 on another. If still no problems then go ahead and send all traffic but NEVER assume they won't cheat you and start off giving them everything. Look at Tattoo media they went years scamming people yet still continue to operate. Reason for this is say the one you was worried about turns out to be a scam, Yes you are going to be mad but by taking this precaution you will only be out $500 instead of $1k

4 - Bottom Line is just be smart, Always protect your self. Remember the most important part that people confuse very easily. The network works for you, you do not work for the network. Of course networks have to handle fraud bluntly but if you are not on that side of the fence then you are the boss.

1 - Affiliate managers earn a percentage off of what you make,
2 - Compliance or other area's gets paid by the network
3 - The network gets paid by your commissions.

As you can see it is that simple. A network can only continue thanks to you. So be respectful and not play god, But do not fall for every line they give you. The second they start making excuses with out proof to back up what they say then look out or get out.

Great info, people don't understand one major point though. The affiliate managers are there to help you make money. It really isn't that hard to ask them for help in whatever field you need it in. Speak with them on a regular basis to see what is converting best and so forth.
