Default Does it become harder to market CPA after Xmas?

I wanted to go out today canvasing places like Home Depot and Costco but I'm noticing now that tons of these free giftcard campaigns seem to be expired.

In fact at CPAbeyond it seems 75% of everything they have listed is expired. Some offers say expired but still have their page up to enter information for giftcards. Others say expired and have no page.

I'm curious if an offer says it expired on November but they still have links to that offer can I market them or not?
It looks like so many companies just wanted to market their deals right before the holidays and now it seems I can't find anything to market in terms of giftcards. Guess I will have to find better networks but I am curious about what happens after the Holidays do most CPAnetworks still have decent deals to run or does everything dry up in January?

thanks guys

hey if the offer expired then do not market them as the visitors will be redirected to other offer which may not convert. Well Christmas is good time to market cpa free stuff but yes you can carry on after Christmas. Gadgets always on demand Christmas or not, they still go hard all round the year

I just joined CPABeyond a few days ago and at first, I thought there were many expired offers. But in fact, their expiry dates are in 2012.

Are you making the same mistake that I did?

In my opinion one of the keys to most successful campaigns is having several offers at your disposal - always rotate to find the most profitable one but also have others available to you if your big money maker disappears

Ok well tonight I did all the prep work and printing. Printed about 1000 teeth whitening offers ($28 conversion) another 1000 colon offers ($32 conversion) then 1000 Home Depot ($1.40) offers.

Me and my friend are doing 500/500 of the teeth whitening ones at 5 different dentist offices in the morning. 500/500 of the colon ones at doctors offices in the area possibly even on a local campus (where I'm alumni at and have a card to be there) by the gym. I noticed yesterday there was over hundreds upon hundreds of cars parked randomly all over the campus and theres very little patrol if any (will be careful either way). Did not see campus police once the whole time I was watching the lot.

THEN on top of that I'm going to 2 Home Depots and dropping Home Depot Gift Card offers 500 at each 2 locations on my own. Will see how long it takes I may do 250 then wait an hour because I don't live that far from a HUGE Home Depot. Every place I saw tonight was brimming with tons and tons of people getting ready for the holidays.

After that (tommorow) I'm making 2 very nice information brochures and going back to all these offices and putting them INSIDE. Will ask for permission. Want to see if I can do 100 at like 10 different offices equaling to another 1000 between teeth whitening and colon offers lol. The brochures are not salesy just quality information about the colon and why colon health is important (put a lot of interesting research on them) then at the end a simple link to my colon offer.
Colon brochures to drs offices then teeth brochures to the dentists offices. I will probaly do 50-100 at each of as many offices as I can find. I know theres like 50-100 dr/dentist offices in this county alone, likely more for all I know.

I think if I get on a schedule of putting new brochures in there every couple weeks (things that are interesting and offer value to people waiting in the rooms) I may be able to manipulate things till I'm consistently pulling in some type of low conversion. Will see. Just hope the offers don't wind up pissing people off I should start testing all my offers myself just to see what type of crap might surface down the road (credit card issues and what not).

Its a learning experience either way I just want to get good at this stuff thats all.

Hi RedShifted,

Many companies wanted to run their deals right before the holidays- and this is not only true in the online field- but offline as well. It’s not a secret that more offers convert right before the holidays, everyone are in a “consumers” mode; and on top of that: many companies are finishing their yearly budget and trying to give one final “push”.

With that said, the market doesn’t dry up in January. You can see campaigns like gaming, downloads and etc. exploding during the holiday time, maybe it’s because people are at home and in front of the computer more. Most of the advertisers made sure they have campaigns running while everyone are on holiday, the others will start again right in the beginning of 2012.

The beauty in our business is that it’s always renewing, the “dry” period would have finished us all already

Happy holidays!

New Year's resolution products are great to promote in January. Also, products on Amazon related to January sales can be promoted during this time pretty well.

Pick your niche first and then rotate a few similar offers to the same traffic. This you'll know which offers convert and which don't.

Awesome plan, seems like you're on the right track and putting in the work required, hopefully it will pay off, keep us updated on your progress, could be another great motivational thred for newer warriors.

Also Jan and the new year is still an excellent time to start campaigns and market, many eople will tell you otherwise as people have spent money over christmas and aren't in consumer mode like they were in december.

However, people have just made new resolutions and are determined to:
make more money
lose weight
be more confident
time management
get love life handled
get finances sorted etc

There are still plenty of great ways to target consumers in the new year, also if you are doing paid traffic, a lot of paid advertising will be significantly more expensive throughout december as companies are trying to clear marketing budgets for the year and spending big money on campaigns. In Jan this is no longer the case and traffic will be significantly cheaper on certain platforms.
