A phone call from a CPA network can be a nerve-racking thing. You really want to get accepted, you're trying not to slip up, but you're not sure what they're going to ask you... I've applied to enough CPA networks to know pretty much all the questions that they are possibly going to ask you. Some networks require a phone call, others do not. ================================================ MAIN QUESTIONS - How do you get traffic? The network wants to make sure you are getting real visitors and that your site is legit. If you get traffic through SEO and PPC, you'll be good. How many unique visitors do you get per month? Why would a network accept someone with 10 unique visitors per month? You get the point. They are looking to see that you actually have an audience for their offers. They are usually looking for over 10K unique visitors a month, usually more in the 30K+ range. - Do you have incentive offers on your website? ALWAYS SAY NO! It's just like for google adsense, you cannot tell people to click on your ads. Though now we are seeing more and more content locking CPA networks so in that case, incentivizing offers would be OK (through offering guides or other downloads). - Are you with any other affiliate companies? The network is looking to see if you are new to CPA or if you have experience. It's best if you say you are apart of two or three other ones. Choose whatever ones you'd like. This is to show you have experience and that other networks have put trust in you. There's a sticky thread here that lists a whole bunch of them (the network you are applying to will not check to make sure you are apart of the ones you say you are). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Questions - How did you hear about us? This is more of a casual question. Just say their network was recommended to you or that you searched for a good one in Google and theirs came up. - What is your internet experience? The network is looking to see if you are a total newbie to CPA. Even if you are it's not that big of a deal. Just tell them how long you have been interested in internet marketing (1+ years is ideal). - What kind of offers are you interested in? The network is looking to see what your niche is. If you'd promote anything, just say you're interested in promoting high converting offers. - How much do you spend on advertising per month? If this ever comes up, you can either say that you get enough traffic naturally that you don't need to pay for advertising, or say that you get a lot of traffic through advertising so you spend $500+ a month. ================================================ When it comes down to it, they just want to know that you are actually going to promote their products and in a way in which their advertisers would approve of. I hope this calmed your nerves a little. If you'd like more information on what to say, let me know. Also, post on how your conversations go! |

These are indeed the most common questions, but I'd like to add some more I was asked when I was in the application process: - What vertical are mostly interested in? - How long have you been doing internet marketing, and is CPA marketing your main interest? - How many sites do you have? - Do you use landing pages or prefer direct linking? |

From a former affiliate manager's point of view: Preparing for a phone interview with a network is great (just as I would recommend preparing for a job interview). This will help reduce any nerves associated with interviewing in general and make for a more productive conversation. But, don't lie during your interview. AM's aren't asking questions to trip you up. The vast majority of these questions are for the AM to gather enough information from you and how you want to use the network's offers to ensure that they can provide you with the best help possible. Giving misleading information to your AM will guarantee that they will make the wrong recommendations for you. |

I don't think that any one will get accepted into any networks if they claim false details about traffic, experience and few other things. My suggestion is, answer all the questions honestly and I am pretty sure that you will get accepted by them. Don't hesitate to inform them that you are newbie if you they ask how much experience you have in IM. Some networks might even be happier to accept newbies and help them with right guidance but they won't like to hear persons who is not honest. |

Sorry, I did not mean for it to come out as me telling you all to lie to get into a CPA network. I was just trying to give you guidelines on what the CPA network is looking for.

I didn't mean to imply that you were encouraging people to lie. ![]() I just wanted to be sure that affiliates knew that they can make the best use of their AM by being candid in the interview. While it can be tempting to use canned answers to an AM's questions, hoping that this will guarantee approval to the network, it is not the best way to start your relationship. |

Actually, I found those are very redundant. Few more days we are in 2012 and preparing for questions is sooo 2008 Just be real. You don't need to be prepare as if you are looking for a job in an interview. You don't need to lie. If you have no background its fine. Tell them you are exploring. Still working your way up A pro tip for you: Ask CPA Network questions instead having them ask you!! e.g. What traffic source are you (the AM who is interviewing you) expert in and had run? What is your strongest niche? How long have you been an AM? I've seen you have offer XXX and how it much EPC and are you guys brokered it or run direct? |

I agree with the posters who say the CPA interview is nothing to sweat. Be completely honest. I tell them I am new to Internet marketing, but I have done a lot of research and I plan to promote primarily through PPC, Facebook ads etc. Just the fact that I know the different methods of IM, even though I've never made money at it before, is enough to get me accepted. Of course, I've been rejected by a couple of networks, but that's OK because there are so many good ones out there. In my mind, getting accepted is the easy part. The hard part is getting the converting traffic to the offer. So far, I've gotten conversions with PPC (7Search) but I am not yet profitable. |

It's like going into a job interview never having practiced before. Even if you were well qualified for the job, you may be thrown off by their questions or just the interview process. My guide was simply to make the people, about to get a call from the CPA network they just applied to, more confident.

Networks are not just looking for the Most qualified Publisher (it is a plus) they also accept newbies as we know every Super affiliate was new at this at some point. The point of these process is to weed out the fraudulent applications and liars and you are instructing them to start off being a liar. These Post and how to get into any network are pointless and not very wise I have a better approach just be honest about everything, Kinda pointless to join a network having them believe you are a experienced marketer then turn around and ask some of the most commonly asked question. This is a good way to get your self banned for falsifying your application. Being a network owner i know if you got in this way and then turned around and made it obvious your application was complete BS chances are i will just block your account but if i don't i can assure you that the red flag is already up due to lack of trust. Internet marketing is just like a relationship with out trust it isnt gonna work.

I thought this was excessive and dangerous so I never did it and a few days later I got an email from Wolf saying my application was rejected. Anyway, I have been accepted into several CPAs, including MaxBounty, CPAWay, AdFoundry, eComLeads, etc. More applications are in the works. Take Care, Walter

I think a lot of CPA firms dont mind if you are a newbie, but they would expect that you at least understand what CPA is, the terminology such as PPC PPV, etc how you plan to get traffic, how much you plan to spend/day on advertising, once you get your feet wet (who really knows but just a guess) I think they would hope that if you are a newbie, you have at least taken the time to educate yourself and know what CPA involves, and also that you have a solid plan for where you want to go with it and how you plan to achieve that (as much as a newbie can be expected to know this) |
