Default Merchant looking and learning. Thx.

I'm a fairly new merchant just launched a new company about two months ago and now beginning to build out our online marketing strategy and would love any feedback from Warriors. I've done a small amount of IM myself, so I understand some of the difficulties you guys face.

Answers to a couple of quick questions would help us all learn together and be much appreciated.

1) As a new merchant I have lots of flexibility, do you like merchants who are willing to build landing pages, banners, etc. to meet your needs or would you prefer to just have them done ahead of time and somewhat tested... I can go both ways on this, just not sure if I should spend the time building them myself and testing and proving they work so I can then go recruit affiliates, or should I recruit some affiliates and then build them to meet their needs? See the dilemma...

2) Do you prefer going direct to the merchant or do you prefer working through CPA networks? More money to the affiliate going direct, but maybe more perceived safety via one of the big networks? 2b) If you prefer networks which ones? Were a nutritional supplement company. Vitamins for men.

well the banners etc merchant provides is good at the start but as soon a lot of affiliate starts using them the CTR dies in my point of view. This is when we have to go out and get our own banners build and then split test. I think if the merchant keeps updating the banners for the affiliates, it will be awesome for us

2) First we have to push the offer and see what's the result like. If the product converting well then 100% try to contact the big Guy's to run privately which gives us bigger Payout
