Direct linking is ok with POF ads. They allow email submit offers. You can read details here: https://ads.pof.com/ui/documentation...uidelines.aspx. |

As suggested above, check the advertising guidelines. Actually, you should always read the ad guidelines of any platform before using it. If people used to do it I think we would see less people coming here to complain about FB and other platforms disapproving ads and banning accounts. ![]() W

Direct linking works with POF. POF is a good ad platform for newbies who want to get into paid traffic. It really converts on direct linking if you choose the right offer. It is a good practice for those who are new to landing page building since the traffic is targeted for dating offers. I'd break down the plan for a newbie as below: 1 - Choose a broad niche (not an offer) - for example, single moms 2 - Talk to your affiliate manager to give you 2-3 high converting offers for the chosen niche. 3 - Write 2-3 killing ad copies and find at least 5 images . Cannot stress enough that how much important it is to write the right ad copy and find niche related images. 4 - Split test the ad copies and images - 3 ad copies and 5 images = 15 creatives. 5 - Target the right people using POF's awesome targeting tool. Only target the broad niche. Do not narrow down your targeting yet. 6 - Target people between 25 and 50. You can split test the age groups as well! I highly recommend you do this. 7 - Point the ad copies to your offers using a link rotator script. This helps you find out which offer converts better. 8 - Make sure you are tracking what ever you have split tested. This way you'll know which ad copies (images or age groups) convert and which do not. 9 - Run a test. You need to have enough data to find the winners. Definitely 1000 impressions is not enough. 10 - If each of those CPA offer converts then it's fine otherwise remove it. It doesn't matter if you are negative in ROI. We'll narrow down the niche to get laser targeted traffic. So far we have been trying to see if the offers convert or not! 11 - Remove those low CTR images and ad copies. 12 - Now you can test more offers, creatives. Also, it is time to narrow down your niche to find the super targeted traffic for you campaign. This can be done by split testing. 13 - After finding the winner you can create a landing page and improve your ROI but it s very important that you know what you are doing. * Images play important role in getting high CTR. Remember that you need to test new images at least every 5 days since people will click on images that are their for a while. People tend to click on new images. You see, having a plan and scientific tracking takes you to the point that you are dreaming for. One thing I'd like to point out here is that never go with landing page first if you are just starting POF. I'd find the winner for direct linking first and then try to increase the conversions rate by creating landers. There are definitely more points on POF advertising but these are the basics that every one needs to follow to make money. I hope this helps you make more money and have more fun! ![]() ~ Omid |

Awesome guidelines, Omid! Thanks! One question for you, what should the frequency cap be? I have mine set at 4 per visit at the moment. |

very informative threat but I think POF based on CPM and there are much complexities in using POF I simply lost my all money and didn't get any conversion. |

I would definitely do 3, and selecting "Per Day" is the safest. Frequency cap is applied on a per campaign level. Each time an ad is shown, it's chosen randomly from the ads within that campaign. If the frequency cap is set to 3 per day, then each user will only see your ads in that campaign a maximum of 3 times per day. This reduces ad exposure (but obviously limits impressions served as well) so it doesn't burn out your ads. Never run 1 ad per campaign; it will show that ad everytime, sometimes 3 times in a row. Hope that helps with the frequency cap question. -Tom

After optimization, my rule is you should be running 6-10 profitable ads. You can run less, but you're beginning to get too few. NEVER run 1 ad per campaign. -Tom
