CPA conversion inside an online game for testing purposes

I haven't share this for a while, it's only one conversion and I'm surprised when I test this. Here's the story:

I have an account at Angels Online MMORPG and I usually play there sometime. One day, I have think of something that is crazy that I can really earn with MMORPGs. So here's what I did.

I have an Adscendmedia account and asked my AM about my plans on giving incentives to the players in exchange of signing up to an offer. It's just a one page contest site that 3 lucky players will win $10 Ultimate Game Cards, and the contest page will be locked by a content locker. Once they completed the offer, they will be redirected to a page with an opt-in form (I use Listwire). Three lucky winners will be receiving Ultimate Game Card unique codes (which I'll be the one to buy those game cards and scratch the code) that winners can load up their account.

She likes the idea, since this is a soft incentive type strategy, I'm going for it. So after I've finished setup the landing page, it's time to promote the URL. I login into my game account, select my character and promote my Ultimate Game Card contest in a city where lots of characters in Angels online are selling virtual and rare items.

After an hour of promoting the offer, I checked my Adscendmedia account and I'm surprised that I've got 1 conversion. It really works, but still needs more contestants (at least 50) to join for profits.

My budget is around $30 for $10 x 3 Ultimate Game Cards. My goal is at least 50 entries and the offers are between $1.5 to $1.8, so I'm aiming for a profit above my budget.

As long I can create some twists like this (with the consultation from my Adscendmedia AM), this could be a nice system that can easily be rinsed and repeat. Best of all, saturation is not an issue because there are millions of hardcore gamers who are hungry of buying as much virtual items as they want.

It's all about creativity, just try it folks.
