Of course youtube works. I have to say though that using these alternative ways of traffic generation you have much better chances of making money and have exposure.

Make good money with youtube is very very difficult. There is many competitors who's reporting videos and YouTube deleting it often, big competition and etc...

It's really not easy to make money with YouTube, everyone think that they will upload hundreds of videos with blackhat tools and will be great! believe me, it's not true, If you want to make GREAT/GOOD/COOL cash with YouTube you need to do same things when you creating a niche site.

Not really --> Download a video that it is a review (CNET videos are good for that) --> Go to windows movie maker (you don't need any complicated program) --> put a title in the beggining of the video saying "Go to the Description for More Info" --> upload it --> wait --> profit

Takes 15-20 minutes to make one and most of that time is waiting for the video to render/upload.

The KEY to making Youtube work is:

1. Do KW research for the CPA offer.
2. Optimize the video with that main KW : title (you can use two KWs here - title stuffing is allowed), description, tags (get tags from top video with your KW), and in annotations
3. Have a DEFINITE "Call to action"
4. Build strong backlinks to video.

Since Youtube is an authority site AND owned by Google, the above steps will just about guarantee a top 3 ranking.
