Adknowledge help please

So I got accepted by Adknowledge and received an email from them "Search Result Retrieval API" with some obscure explanations of "an XML data interface residing on our server cluster".

I have no idea how this will allow me to publish banners on my sites. I emailed them but the reply is not helpful at all.

Are there any Warriors having been through that path recently, caring to share?
