What do you guys use for tracking software ? As a newbie I am a bit confused on exactly what the software does. It tracks campaigns? and conversions?

Is there any other type software you need?

Prosper202 is free tool. But there are also few paid tools like bevomedia.

I use CPVLab...it is a paid product with plenty of support. It is geared to PPV but can be used for PPC or just about any type of tracking. Lots of people use Prosper202 but don't expect a quick response in the support area.

It allows me to quickly see trends, problematic keywords, domains that send a lot of non-converitng traffic, profit/loss status of a campaign. I was running PPC without tracking and had no clue what was really working. I now have several successful campaigns running.

Oops sorry mate. I was talking about bevomedia's ppv spying tool with my friend at that time so in that frame of mind i typed bevomedia instead of cpvlab.

I'm just putting the finishing touches on mine for in house use. (Did a massive rewrite of the code) It's got my system built into it. Nothing out there like it that I've seen. (And believe me I've looked).

But it's not ready for prime time yet, I'll do a beta release to my members shortly. The one feature I added should help dramatically reduce the learning curve and save people a ton of money in testing.

It's very adaptive, the traffic source doesn't matter, you can run Adwords, MSN Adcenter, 7search, Facebook Ads, Plenty of Fish, Media Buys or even PPV/CPV campaigns through it.

It's part of the membership. Some affiliates won't like that it's hosted on my server, but oh well, it's not targeted to them. It's for guys who are struggling with tracking and don't want to bother installing things on their own hosting.



I'm going to make a big announcement when it's tested and ready.

Yes all data is hosted on my server. I fully understand that alot of people will not like that. They don't trust anyone with their data, I respect that. It's not for them though. It's for people who don't want to install their own tracking system as it's very difficult when you don't know anything about domains, ftp or haven't even installed wordpress in the past.

I've reviewed thousands of campaigns and members provide me with confidential information all day long. I'm not really interested in ripping anyone off by copying their campaign. Those same people that refuse to have a hosted tracker tell their affiliate managers everything about their campaigns, so that doesn't really add up.

I'm probably going to make a self hosted version too shortly, but I want to add all the features to it first. Next one is most likely a contact manager so you can put all your Affiliate Manager stuff in one place.

Then a todo list feature as well.



Mine is not free, but it's pretty damn good, (in my completely bias opinion).

I use CPVLab, and I would recommend it to anyone.. it's really easy to use for PPC. Only problem is at larger volumes where you just have to setup cron jobs to wipe your SQL dbs.

Does Prosper 202 help with non-PPC campaigns as well? For example, will it allow me to track conversions from my website to the network offer? I.E. verify if they are shaving or not?

Being super-specific, I have a software review site. I'm seeing conversions in CJ, but the payout is far lower than it should be. When I asked my AM why my commission was lower than what it should be, she said that the customer I sent over must have come through one of their media buy campaigns AFTER they clicked on my link and thus they couldn't give me a full commission, so they gave a partial commission.

CJ time stamps the sale and the users IP address. I'd love to be able to track that data on my end so I can counter my AM and say, "No, here's proof that the visitor came through my link 2 minutes before completing the sale. I should get the FULL commission."

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
