Hello Warriors, (Let me Warn you first that I'm not very experienced with CPA; I primary specialize in Social Media and SEO Marketing but recently Adf.ly and CPA has been catching my attention so I figured I'd try it otu and let you guys know how it works. Learn from it what you can but please don't jump on me for many mistakes or wrong lingo) I've recently been trying out Adf.ly after some curiousity from WSOs. I have found several successful campaigns but it has been mostly hit and miss. From my experience I can tell that Adf.ly does provide real traffic and indeed for the right offer they do convert. Some points to consider with adf.ly traffic: -They don't have very good follow through rate so basically you don't want too many long form submits -These traffic are not targeted by category so ideally you want to find something that is very wide reach. Some examples might be free giveways and free trials. -The Traffic come from individuals clicking links however in most cases the users are fairly consistent so after some time you might get some overlap and thus lower conversion rates. -Downloads seem to convert at a Better ROI for me. Ideally you really want to see the CPA Offer conversion point; look for first page conversion. (Even some first page conversions aren't the best such as trying free Insurance quotes with first page conversion still was useless. You want something wide reach) As mentioned this traffic although plentiful is a lot of repeat and a lot same users which I would assume why Download work better than email submit (too over killed) Personally for me Email submits NEVER Worked well for some reason with US Traffic but VERY Well with international traffic primary from india. (My assumptions are that the Us Traffic has already been pitched to so often that viewers simply skip the opportunity probably already having tried otu the offer; so Email submit for US Traffic will get you a loss) After trying out some campaigns with hit and misses. I've decided to stop direct linking and try to go ahead with a lead capture landing page. A simple Single Opt in Page. Plan: After trying otu some direct linking offers I think it's time to try building a landing page I find might work best. Basically a freebie page which seems to work best with this traffic (Not IM Niche) -Accumulate a list of 1000+ -Start sending promos to the list The list will be collected from a fairly optimized and tried opt in page (Got from a WSO) they will also then follow through to another offer page. Till date I currently have spent $76.90 to obtain about 512 Single Opt ins (Double opt ins are about 70+) ----- I've tried out various traffic geography targeting ranging from US to Taiwan to India. India converts the best about 5-10 per 1000 hits (might seem bad but it cost $1/1000 hits) Us converts the worse as expected at about 2 for 1000 which is about $2/single opt in ----- I know I've read a lot about adf.ly traffic being very unrespondant to product offers so this list is a "freebie list" which will be pitching various free offers. Maybe it might work otu better because apparently to the threads I've read the open rate and CTR is fairly reasonable but simply the readers aren't being buyers. As mentioned I've also had an offer page at the back which is basically a simple page with a content locker. It has been converting some what but no where near the cost for the opt in. I'm going more for the leads here though. Let's see how it turns out. in additional with some other promotiosn for the landing page (stumble upon promotions and other viral promotion...works very well since it's a freebie niche) I'm very soon nearing 1000 subscribers to send my first email ad. I'm interested to see what the open rate is like. (Please note this list is a mixed; mostly adf.ly traffic but still a good mixture of facebook, stumble upon traffic) |

Please let me know any advice you might have as I am fairly new to CPA and leads. What would you recommend to perhaps increase open rate or conversions?

Very good info right here... Some people complained and said that the traffic is trash, and it is, but there is always a way to make profit (otherwise this company wouldn't stay alive). I'm going to try what you said in the future and see if it works. Thanks EDIT: have you ever tried direct linking related to dating? Usually they have pictures that 'call your attention better' so that should convert well right? |

I am also thinking to experiment adf.ly. I doubt if you make money from indian traffic.

You can't really do dating as adf.ly has strict family friendly policy. Quote:
I've actually even had some CPA Conversions from india but I'm waiting till I reach 1000 subscribers to send a promo. With everyone thinking you can't make money from india then the market is fairly untouched which was probably why it got a higher opt in rate. Also adf.ly has high volume and cheap traffic from india. I admit it isn't the most profitable traffic source but there has to be some way to benefit on this traffic. Hopefully they respond to the freebies. | ||

Interesting... Supposedly adf.ly gets great traffic but I wonder what the bounce rates can be for offers? Supposedly $600 for just under 3/4 mil visitors getting over 3k optins(double optin) is good for the site? Thinking of offering up an ad for the site in my sig once gone over with a fine tooth comb to see what type of optins and bounce rate I get for the traffic source... Let me know what you all find out. |

I've had good success with Adf.ly collecting subscribers to my list what's worked for me has been a simple 5-6 word squeeze collecting 200-300 leads a day in world wide traffic |

| What sort of open rate are you getting? No point having loads of leads if they never read your emails.

Nice case Study my friend. as of lead generation you need to target UK, USA, Canada, Australia. Them 4 countries people are likely to buy. Other countries traffic hardly buy due to Currency rate and paypal option.

I think one possible problem with adf.ly is that they have the 5 second count down right in your face, so as a user, you automatically sit back and zone out and not really pay attention to what's in front of you. On some occasions I've actually sat back, zoned out, and then with about one second left on the clock, thought,"Wait a second, that looks quite interesting!", but it's been too late to do anything and I've been shunted on to continuing my journey.
