Hi, I have an affiliate website and considering a lot of people are clicking on the menus, I wanted to add an affiliate link in the menu. Is it a good idea? Is Google gonna punish my site for that? If it's ok, why isn't everybody doing it? Thanks! |

I don't think it's a good idea. google will not punish you but from my experience it doesn't work well, you will have a lot of clicks but no sales. text links and banners work much better.

I was thinking of putting it in the navigation menu as a text link. If I look at the clicks on my website, most of them are on the menus so I thought that this could help me send customers to an affiliate link.
