I planned on handing out flyers with a domain name to a website with email submits for contests for Ipads or Iphones or money and other things that I see on offervault as prizes . I have heard that you cannot do that with some offers. Does anyone know how I can tell which of these offers I can use in flyers and which I can't. Contacting all of the offers is just too time consuming. Also how do they determine the winner in these contests? A draw or what? How do we know if the prize actually ever goes to anyone? Someone other than a friend of the contest operator would be nice. What if I wanted to offer a prize myself like this? Are there any rules or laws I should be concerned with? Thanks |

I also have a subway dumping thousands of people off right beside my place every half hour or less each evening. They are all just a short walk from home and may carry the flyer with them and check it out when home. I figured it was worth a shot.

As far as I know working with several CPA firms, the main issue is how the traffic gets to the offer. If you incentivize (pay them or gift them) some offers will not accept that traffic and you can get suspended. Other than this issue, I see no restrictions on flyers (but I wouldn't tell the CPA manager that this is what you intend to do). Of course, make sure you provide short url in print to make the reader want to spend a little time and effort to check your offer out. This should go directly to YOUR website and from YOUR website link them to the CPA offer. You should motivate through text and video to click on the link to fill out the form and see if they've won or qualify to win. If you are going to incentivize with a gift (prize) then you'll need a way to know who visited your site and filled out the offer (which you 're usually not privy to). Also, most CPA firms show you which programs do not allow certain promotion types like incentive, email, search, etc. In the U.S., there are lottery laws which may govern individuals who promote "lotteries" - which under the law may include "contests" and such - I am not a lawyer, but I wouldn't venture beyond a free gift for all who visit and sign up on MY website. I think if you keep it within the bounds you see businesses in your neighborhood run promotions (and some still break the law) this should be a safe limit for you. You can run sales, first 100 to sign up, limited supply of gift, url plus code input for gift, etc. Also, the value of the prize or gift may impact on applicable laws. Maybe some other warriors can chime in with wisdom...

I will say this. I'm a newbie. I did the flyers thing and the first day I did it I pulled in $200 which I was very ecstatic about. However the issue with flyers is EVERYONE FOCUS'S on the FLYERS and there are ACTUALLY ways to make the flyers work 100 times better, w/out changing a single thing in the flyer. I know how to do this because I've been in high pressure sales myself for 10 years. In sales you learn how to sell something whether its **** or not. Thats the plain truth. People don't realize that fliers can technically be "sold" to other people. You do it by finding a person of authority, sell the flier to them (not with money with engineering), and they will hand them out for you. How I did this? My pitch. My fliers sucked but my pitch was so rocksolid I was able to convince more than one business owner to hand out my fliers for me. I played the fake role of a college student doing a marketing internship. And people ate the **** up left & right. Its called demonstrating false vulnerability. Its both a sales and a seduction tactic. Its very easy to convince people to do things for you believe it or not when they feel bad for you or think you are dumb. You pose absolutely no threat to them so they drop their resistance drastically. People have no idea how this can be manipulated for financial or even sexual gain (although in seduction its a lot more elaborate than what I explained here, its more about the psychology of dropping a womans resistance through conveying vulnerabilities than doing any type of roleplay). I acted like a dumb ass college student in order to get someone to feel bad for me and hand out my fliers (tanning salon owners, dentists shops, gyms, etc). Say things like "I'm so stupid I waited till the last minute to get this done can you PLEASE help me I don't wanna fail this class, etc etc) And it worked better than I could have ever expected. People usually get so hung up on the format/wording of the flier but have no pitch and don't understand how a pitch actually works. Its social engineering to a t. Learn how to do it and you'll make a fortune with fliers, and really anything you do in sales/marketing. As far as it being **** or garbage, I disagree. You just need to be an innovative person, and I suppose most people probably arent. But overall I found what I did extremely easy for anyone else to repeat. Really I could have trained a monkey to do it for me if I wanted.
