Hello, 1st class cpa has been around for a year and all was fine. but we grew so much we are ready to upgrade everything. We hired designer to build new web page, Contacted offervault, Contacted cake. We rested on 1stclasscpa.net but i am not to proud of a dot net so we purchased 1ccpa.com but was advised by web designer if we could land 1stclasscpa.com would be a lot better. So we contacted this site today and they informed us everything is for sell with the right price. Well to be honest i always just bought domain names from the host service so have no exp in buying domains already ran and have no idea what to suggest. I see some selling as low as $500 and some selling for $1500 to 2k, I was thinking of offering 1k but of course do not wanna pay more then we have to. what would be a good price to offer with out sending him/her into a no reply mode for being to low, as well with out offering to much upfront to find out could of got it a lot less. |

You're already at a big disadvantage because they know the real domain you want. I would just make an offer ($500-$600) and see what they say.

You can register 1st-ClassCpa.com for, like, $9, or use the GoDaddy Domain Buy Service to make an offer on your behalf, if you do not want to deal with the other party directly.

your situation is different you are an established company (presumably you have money) so its not just some random domain expect to be asked . sky is the limit 500? I would not get my hopes up I agree with the 1stclass-Cpa.com option not like you are getting so many type ins as long as you pop up first on google for 1ST CLASS CPA i dont see it as a problem |

You should start your bargaining from the lowest price. Also you may ask the present owner of the domain about his demand, then decide a good price and offer that.

I pop up first page now with a .net, I am just that picky lol, .com in my opinion looks a lot more professional then .net, We are listing on offer vault and before we do so i wish to make sure every thing is perfect. with out mentioning how much we will be spending for web and 3 mo offervault i personally feel what good is a email blast if they are taken to a .net, We purchased 1ccpa.com for back up if need be but i agree with the one if they do research they will see we are a network and shoot for the sky. I made him offer see if he responds.

I would change the name of the company to something more memorable. I was never a fan of three word domain names or words that can be spelled two different ways. For instance, you tell a potential client to look up your site 1stclasscpa and they may spell it firstclasscpa.

We own arucpa.com Ads R us for over a year and a half, we started there, Once we acquired 3rd party tools we cleaned house and created 1st class as a private network to move all the good clean pubs, Since then i just paid for this site monthly and done nothing with it, I was toying with the choice of going back to that name but had a lot of people advise against it due to the time and name i got in 1stclass, However i like Ads R us more so then 1stclasscpa,

Well i am not giving 40k for a 15 buck domain when there are work arounds, i'd go as high as 1.5 k for it but that is it as i feel they are getting a great deal anyways.

Im just saying, once you approach a website owner, they have the upper hand. If you get it for 1.5K, good for you. You also have to lose the mindset that all domains are worth $15. They are only worth $15 if you register them first. After that, they are worth whatever the market will bear.
