Default MaxBounty - offer switched to completely different offer?

Not sure if this is a frequent occurrence in the CPA industry but MaxBounty have switched one of their offers I was promoting to a completely unrelated offer.

My affiliate link leads to this new offer.

Thankfully, I only used the offer for some minor testing so it was only running for a day.

Anybody else know about this and how you can avoid stuff like this in the future? If I had a huge campaign running I would have lost a lot of money because of it.

Need a website or custom web application? Want to develop the next big thing?

=> Scalable Websites & Applications (See Examples & Testimonials) <=

i was having similar problems with maxbounty. I was promoting angry birds (download & install) to convert and preview lp looked fine.

about 2 days after, i had around 300 clicks with 0 conversion. i checked my affiliate link on different computer and it lead to some survey scout offer.

i sent message to my am on maxbounty and got no answer.

This happens if the offer is taken down/paused or if the offer reaches the daily cap on the network.

Heads up that if you click on your link and you are in a country that is not supported by the campaign, you will be taken to a campaign that does allow the click from your country. For some countries that campaign is Survey Scout.

If you see clicks for campaigns that you are not directly advertising, this geographic redirection is the reason.

Hey Damien, you will be redirected to a different offer if you are in UK but the offer is only allowed in USA. You can use a VPN tool (Overplay/StrongVPN/HideMyAss), it will help you see landing pages in over 40 countries no matter what country you are from.

Thanks for clarifying Steve. I've been experiencing the same problem too and thanks I've seen the answer here.

Most of the CPA Network inform to publishers before taking down any offer and notify their publishers via Email. Maxbounty is one of them. And your problem that you saw completely different offer is only because your offer would not allowing you to view it with your country IP. A suggestion to all publishers, Affiliate Mangers work really hard and it is not possible some time to reply instantly on messengers. Better way to send an email to your manager and wait for their response.

Unfortunetly it does happen from time to time, perhaps speak with your am to see if they can arrange anything to help you out
