|  Why is my site getting adf.ly traffic?
Hi all, I came across this forum b/c it has several posts concerning adf.ly. My site concerns a medical procedure. Recently, Google Analytics has shown that I am getting thousands of visitors a day from referral source adf.ly. However, I have never signed up with adf.ly. I have not paid them a dime. Nowhere on my site are there any adf.ly shortened links. Therefore, why on earth am I getting this traffic??? It has a high bounce rate, but a few visitors click through a few pages. Could this be the reason? --- Someone else thinks my site would interest visitors to their website. Therefore, that someone else put up an adf.ly shortened link to my site. Lot's of people are clicking on that other person's adf.ly link and ending up on my site. That other person is earning commissions from adf.ly and I am getting some free traffic. |

Also, is there any way that I could find out what site is promoting my site? As I mentioned, Google Analytics thinks the traffic is from adfly, not the actual site with the adfly link.

There is a possibility the person is running a landing page with Lasik Eye surgery banners of some sort, and iframe loading your website for related informational purposes, so there landing page appears more complete? .. just a guess |

May be someone have some similar site with few Characters change in domain and by mistake he set up a campaign with your domain and not even know what he done wrong..!!but helping you..Now the question is not why or how much traffic you are getting...Question is Are you making any profit from that traffic..If yes then Set up your own Adf ly campaign for doubling profit if not then notify adfly for this mistake...!!
