Default CPA Offers - Direct Linking?

I know some affiliate programs I have signed on with frown on direct linking.
Which ones allow this, or is it on an offer by offer basis? I would like to start a Direct Linking PPC campaign, but want to make sure I am not violating any rules...
S.

Edit: If you are allowed to promote via Search, text or Contexual, is it fine to direct link those, or will I still need a landing page?
Also, I am unsure what Incentivized traffic is...

You can use direct linking , but it is not to fully control and archive good quality score .

direct linking is most of the time suitable if you have less competition .

Yes, you can do direct linking however, you will loose out on quality score which Google uses as one of the key factors in deciding bid price. Good quality score can considerably bring down the bid price

Your ad *links* *directly* to the merchants sales page (the product your promoting, be it clickbank or cpa).

hope that helps.

You can do direct linking with CPA (unless the merchant forbids it, which is rare in CPA).

But the problem is, unlike with commissions for product sales, many of the CPA offers are on low quality sites or pages. That is why everyone keeps mentioning the quality score problem.

Direct link to these sites and Google just nukes you.

This is when you bribe (pay) someone to submit their info to the CPA offer.

For instance, complete this CPA signup and I'll send you a buck, or a free ebook, or something where the reason for the CPA signup is something other than the CPA offer.

Its forbidden because there is no value to the one paying on the offer.

Now I'm really confused about this direct linking. I have a campaign I want to start. The advertiser says it allows redirects for this link, which is a banner. But then it says publisher is not allowed to link directly to the website from search marketing campaigns. What am I suppose to link to? Where am I suppose to redirect to?

Thanks

Denise

"Search" means PPC. So they are saying that you cannot put your affiliate link as the destination URL in the PPC ad. You will have to send them to your own landing page which has your affiliate link on it to the offer.

When you use a banner, the banner is hosted on someone's site other than the offer's site. ie - the offer banner is placed on your site or a site that you pay for putting the banner on.

Regards,

John

ps - If that is an affiliate link in your signature, it will get you banned without notice.

Thanks John,
I kinda understand what you're saying. I need to create a landing page with my affiliate link.

And no, it's not an affiliate's link. It's my site, my domain, I own it.
