Hi,

Are there any tool/ software which scrapes active ads on FB?

In short, so that we can get competitors ad copy etc..

There was one, but the creator received a cease and desist from Facebook.. there still are some private ones though.. I believe STM has one for their members as well

you can get some data from "whatrunswhere" but there is another service which dedicated to facebook only and i think it cost around $600 a month. It totally depends on how hard you want to nail the traffic source

We have one on AffPlaybook. Lots of Ads - Hundreds of Profitable Campaigns! is pretty good but pricey.

SEO quake is now showing you the time in which the ad was publish under the ad... For free, it's pretty cool

I have one, but i'll never admit it publicly...

Oops.

They do ban accounts pretty quick when they catch it scraping.

It's not the same as typical scrapers in that you need to know the demographic of the account with the ads too or it's pretty much useless information.

Didn't happened with me. I have been scraping around 200-500 unique ads per day.

Affportal.com has a Facebook ads spy tool. They offer 3 day free trial.

Lotsofads.com seems to be good too.

Lotsofads.com is pretty good. Their trial is crap so don't even bother with it. If you're gonna buy it, buy it.

Spy tools are good to see what's working, but not something to depend on long term.

Hey guy's just wanted to give you the heads up that I'm about to release a new tool soon. I released an early version awhile back as an MVP to test proof of concept. But this new version is completely rewritten.

You do have to create and add accounts but scraping is automated. It has proxy support, etc. It also works outside of facebook for other ad networks. (Google content network, etc.)

It's windows only and desktop based. No monthly fee. You pay a one off fee which gives you a year of support and updates.

I'm hoping to release it this month. If any of you are interested, here's a link to the notification list.

WhatRunsWhere is a great tool. However, it's for display advertising only (not social). While you can use display ads for inspiration, when it comes to targeting it's an entirely different beast from social ads. With display, you're optimizing campaigns based on placements (which websites are converting). On social, you would be optimizing based on demographics.

Thank you for the recommendation! The "demo" is just to show the functionality of our product and to prove that our tool is still actively adding campaigns. But you're absolutely right, the uncensored data once someone purchases the subscription is where the money is.
