has anyone advertised on facebook with any success? what i mean is, facebook is hot right now, well it has been for a while, is it a better option than adwords for cpa?

Ive tried, but frankly I found it a waste of money. Or maybe I was doing it all wrong.

I used Facebook for advertising with coupons i had. If you want to give it a try just coupons to give you an idea. I personally prefer Adwords but i you know how to target people Facebook can be a good choice too.

You guys are doing it all wrong.

Start researching FaceBook Applications. You will take your CPA to another level. If you are low on funds, create a group of like-minded individuals to invest in a quality programmer. This time next year you will be sitting on re-curring Gold. (or sooner)

Also check into Iphone apps. Software will take you a long way.

As implied by honestbizpro's experienced reply, it's rare that any effort on the most basic level will garner results these days. Most people making big money are working at a much deeper level. It's worth checking out but be prepared to lose money but the upside is that once you get a profitable campaign running it's very easy to scale it. Just remember the demographics of facebook users and you'll be fine.

I prefer myspace ads given the choice, I'm having fantastic success uploading CPA banners and targeting by demographic.

Ive tried researching facebook applications-can anyone point me to some GOOD info about this? How much does it cost to get into? How long does it take to make a return? How do you give the apps away, just post them on facebook or what?

i love facebook for advertising i have been trying to make money for a while and well havent made any so i tried facebook the first ad up within 1 hour i had 2 clickbank sales 3 the next day and running it rocks my ads approved every time

Just for you I made a post and hired a professional to go out and find some up to date current info. After intense negotiating and several emails and phone calls back and forth, we came up with a strategy.

He went to a super secret resource ...let's call it Area 51- G then he typed in a secret code and came up with this!

So, you get an iPhone app going, and pardon my ignorance, but what do you do with it regarding CPA offers?
I take it you don't mean run a FB ad,,,,supposedly Aymen of AC fame hits Facebook software apps hard, but he hasn't spoken to that yet.

Blah.. i tired facebook for my dating websites got 10 hits a day cost me 20 bucks and no one signed up! I ran the campaign for about 2 months before giving up.

Sorry to hear that. Do you have dating sites or dating re-direct links?

Lot's of creative things you can do in the dating niche. Sometimes you just have to be very subtle about it...find a topic within dating....get the interests to come to your sites then they should be clicking away once there.

I have a certain app in mind for the dating niche that should be fun and profitable as well.

Also, how can you have success in dating with a name like JustAdam? You got to add Eve too!

Are you talking about facebook ads, or setting up a sales page and adding friends? Facebook ads has great potential. There are some cpa marketers that find a hot image/banner that draws the eye, I know a handful of affiliate marketers on wicked fire that are making $50k days with it. The problem with facebook ads is that the ad will only be hot for a small amount of time, but with adwords its more long term/consistent results. Takes a lot of testing with facebook ads and it can also cost a good amount of cash. The reason for this is because the vast majority of different "types" of people come and go at different times and are looking for different things. In the end causing some very good days, and some absolutely horrible days.

Since social media is fairly new to CPA marketing, I think it’s tough to say one way or another if it is successful as a whole. I also think the biggest factor on whether or not you’ll have success is which campaigns you are running. Some niches will obviously do better than others.

I've tried promoting Make Money with Google products, which seem to be selling like hotcakes. But everytime I try, I get disapproved! And there are other ads on Facebook linking to similar stuff! Any advice on getting approved with these types of products? (free trial + recurring charges)

Many post that are made here did not even consider newbies like me,could anyone be fair to us, also I tried to tell marketer that affiliate in developing country would appreciate if digital products can be purchased using e-currency like Libertyreserve, because I wanted to buy the ebook on CPA but it could not be purchase with the e-currency that is operational in my country.

You just have to be smart on what offer you'll promote on Facebook. Make sure you did the research to know more demographic informations about your customers then setup your campaign having this in mind. Don't forget to ASK your AM too see if the offer converts well, make sure he don't tells you bull**** as some people does because they'll make more money on that specific offer.

Good reply. Me and a few other affiliates were pushing dating back in early beta stages and made $3-5k/day. Starting to get really competitive now though since all of the forums are getting wind of it.
