Hi everyone, I have an online content/ copywriting web-business in the works. I plan on launching the site in early June. I have heard that email marketing is lucrative, but how exactly do I go about generating leads for this type of business? Is it possible to buy quality leads? I know that email marketing is a powerful tool for affiliate marketers but do you think it would be an effective marketing strategy for my new business venture? I am focused on targeting prospects that are willing to pay reasonable rates for the packages/services I will be offering. Unlike most of the low quality content websites that are swimming around the net today, my main goal is to provide quality content that gets the desired results, which hopefully would lead to referrals and repeat business. Eventually, I plan on registering with the BBB, because it will make the business seem more professional even though it will be in the start-up stages. I realize that the launch of the website may be much later than I initially anticipated, because I have such high hopes. Do any of you have any ideas on how to successfully market my new business venture? All serious advice is appreciated. Thanks, Jazmin P.S- Does anyone think that posting WSO's would be a lucrative way to land new clients? This is just one strategy that I am considering. |

This section is where we mostly talk about CPA but I guess content writing is used in various ways and I incorporate some of it in my CPA marketing, so its all good. I am glad you mention the word quality a lot in your comments because that is very key. You want to offer quality content and you want a quality lead as well. I would not concentrate on buying leads.....unless you are using pay per click which essentially is just that. Having leads is great, but we want converting responsive leads or else they are useless. As in CPA, it is great to have a landing page to send your prospective leads to. You can do this totally free with feeder sites such as a Squidoo lens. On that lens you would have some great free content and tips explaining the challenges people have when they do not have good content, duplicate content, and knowing where to find it. You will then send them to your landing page where you will offer them a freebie gift that offers additional tips about writing or outsourcing good content. This is when they will voluntarily opt in to be on your list. You set up your autoresponder to give them great tips and help them to avoid making common mistakes most associated with finding good content for their niches. After you have given value over time you will then let them know you will be launching a product/service based on feedback they have been giving you on what they need to become successful. Of course they will be getting a "special offer" for being on your list. Heck you may even invite them to be on your new affiliate program to start promoting it as well. There are many other creative tactics for obtaining free leads to your opt-in page such as free pdfs, video marketing, forum marketing, and finding out who your competitors are and contacting them along with complimentary product owners with big lists to recommend you. Let me know when you are ready to launch I am always on the lookout for good content sources. | |

Honest Biz Pro, You've offered some great ideas, some that I never would have thought of myself. I will be sure to let you know when the site goes live. I apologize for posting in this forum. I saw "leads" in the description on the main page, so I thought this would be the appropriate section to post.
