We run a social networking site and we have Google adsense on it. But we are not doing so well on the ad revenue front. Because the site is a chat/social networking site, there is really not a lot of room for rapidly changing content (people are more interested in chatting and checking other's profile pages than reading on this site!!). Any ideas how we can make a decent revenue? Thanks |

You may want to switch to CPM ads that will pay you per 1000 impressions your site gets. Look into CPM Networks like Burst Media, Casale Media, Value Click Media and the like. Best! |

Do you have email addresses? That is another potential avenue for revenue. On one of my blogs I offer a free gift (this could just be tips, list of resources, how-to info) that is tailored for that type of visitor's interest then I get to promote to them as much as I want as long as they remain an opt in. If you have a site and you are getting repeat visitors you have the potential to see alot of profit. | |

Ya, I pretty much agree with what has already been said. For the most part you need big traffic to make good money with adsence with that type of site... I think you should consider CPM and put the adds in more places.... Then I would Defiantly be running ads for my own affiliate stuff for CPA offers or clickbank offers OR your own products if you have any... Don't just put what ever type of offers up on your site, try to really put up offers that your traffic will like, if you can hit that or get close, they retinue will show it. That is probably with I would do.... You can put CPM adds and your own affiliate adds in a lot more places then you can put CPC.... So that alone should be a big bust in revenue. Test different things to find what works best for your site... Thanks, Micah Rush <>< |

Hi, The revenue from contextual advertising depends mostly on traffic and content and ad placement. If you have very good traffic to your site and still your Adsense is performing poorly then you can make some changes like placing Adsense block in your content, and an Adlinks block somewhere at the top of your page and changing link color to blue. I hope that helps you. |
