I have PPCF 1.0 on my desk. Should I read it?

I have had PPCF 1.0 since it came out. I just never got around to getting into it. (ooops)

My question for people who have gone through it. I am going to buy ppcf 2.0 when it launches or a few months in.

My question for those who have read it and know anything about ppcf 2, should i even go through 1.0 now?

Or would it be a waste of time since i will be getting 2.0 anyways or is there stuff in 1.0 that i neeed to know for 2.0?
