Default Capturing emails for own list

Just wondering about capturing the leads for my own lists.

Is there an effective way of setting it up without discouraging them! EG. would I use the standard approach of offering something (report, newsletter etc) before sending them to the offer?

Thanks

Pete

Yes, depending on the market you are working in offer a report, or product sample.

Thats right.

I love this method of setting up a very helpful blog to my leads and offering a Free Gift but making sure that it displays a specific monetary value....like ($50). Within the free ebook, which you can create for free with www.openoffice.org you can send them right back to a page on your blog with specific offers on it or other affiliate program links on your blog that complement that niche.

Now you have leads you can continue to market to forever rather than just work hard to get them and see them leave forever.

Many of my landing pages are actually blog pages. You never get accused of spamming this way.

I don't care how good someone is with CPA, show me a person with a responsive list and their own product or service and that person should be doing very, very well.

i totally agree with this idea that you will need to build your list and only then send customers to CPA.
By the way, have anybody thought of putting opt-in form during ebay post?

Oh Yes my friend!

I realized along time ago that we need to utilize all that traffic that Ebay gets daily.

What I did was change my "About Me" page as an introduction to who I am and my business. (That "Business" I made sure was a popular Niche!)

On your personal "About Me" page ebay allows you to link back to YOUR OWN SITE!

Now to make it even better I changed my Ebay name to Keywords for my niche! Anyone can change their Ebay name instantly....you will have a little symbol that you changed it, that last about 30 days but no biggie.

Once they get to my blog I have a free gift (with opt-in) and a chance to market to them for life.

Just another way I get Free Traffic trickling in.

Yea nzdealer,

that is another good idea, especially one that can go viral. I have seen some "free" tools given away that have ads rotating within them.

Well, I'm moving along on it. I have an old site in the health niche which I have neglected so I'm in the process of upgrading it and getting more traffic to it. Also gonna attach an auto blog in a sub folder to help that along a bit!

Which reminds me, I have a subliminal suggestion software that I can give away and I can embed 2 affiliate links in each one. Worth a shot!

Thanks for that!

Use a quiz landing page as your list building tool. I have many customers of my script that are doing well building lists this way, and back-ending the list with CPA offers.

Great info here. I'm a newbie and want to know the feasability of doing an optin on a Squiddo or blogger page? I've read numerous times to "test traffic" this way before committing to a domain and hosting. I have an aweber account. Is this doable? Also, how do you automatically deliver the free gift in exchange for the opt in? Thanks!

Hi Brian!

I would recommend getting your own domain...based on good keywords for your niche you are targeting.

Aweber will deliver your attachment/Gift,

You can use www.openoffice.org to create great ebooks.

Now as for blogger and Squiddoo, what you can do is use them to link to your money site/main site.

Make sure you use keyword research and deliver some great content/tips and remember if you place affiliate links inside your ebook it would look much more classy if you used a real domain then redirect it to your merchant page.

Goodluck2u!

What you can also do is have a nice, simple squeeze page that lists some compelling points/benefits in your report, and offer to give it away in exchange for their email address. Be sure to emphasize on your page that the report will be delivered to their inbox, so this minimizes the chances of them giving you a bogus email to begin with. Once they opt in, you can send them multiple offers via email over time if you want to, and intersperse them with helpful tips and hints for the niche you're targeting. Treat the list like gold, and it'll reward you richly, so aim to provide true value and help in your emails to build up trust and loyalty.
