Hey Mike! Welcome back. I would also add staying ahead of the pack with fresh ideas and the way I set up landing pages, and how I reach a particular niche. |

Hi Sivaok, It will not be so much the offer but how you promote it. Find all you can on creating high converting squeeze pages/landing pages and you will find your high converting offer.

I think i'd add this to the list: 16. Over analyzing things instead of just doing it, which leads to no action, which leads to no profits 17. Searching for the non existant magic pill, jumping from the next big thing to the next big thing without following any project through to completion 18. Falling for over hyped, ridiculous promises and false marketing efforts 19. Quitting too soon 20. Not knowing how to manage their campaigns properly |

I think the biggest mistake many CPA marketers are making is thinking they can be instantly profitable by direct-linking their traffic sources to offers. Sure, there are some who are able to do it. Takes a pretty special offer, and very tightly targeted traffic. But didn't we product and affiliate marketers learn our lesson many years back? People rarely ever buy on their first exposure to an offer. You need to build a list by capturing your traffic (squeeze page, landing page, etc.). Get them on a niche list and you'll be able to email them offers every week for as long as they stay subscribed. Of course you'll have to do what we all learned many years ago too...build rapport with your list. Provide them some good, free content. Over time they will take you up on some of those CPA (and affiliate) offers that you casually push in your twice-weekly email newsletter ;-) So, focus on generating traffic for list building...not for offer making. The offer making comes afterwards. Ed |

That's why I like to built my own products and selling them directly. If I start to get in the CPA networks would be to recommend products and offers to my actual base of customers. |

Great Points imontie! I see people jumping right into PPC because others reccomend it as a fast way to test campaigns but it's also the fastest way to make Google richer. Do your homework, and if you can...use free methods first then re-invest some profits into PPC.

Engaging your affiliate manager is also key. There may be high performing niche offers that have gone under your radar or even select private offers that can be made available to you in some cases. If you don't communicate with your affiliate manager, you won't be kept up to date! Most affiliates tend to lock themselves up and don't build relationships with the networks providing them offers. Hard work and diligence are key, but building a close knit relationship with your affiliate manager will keep you ahead of the curve!!

Well I don't ever deal with CPA programs that don't pay immediately for campaigns. Also, I do have a hard time keeping my campaign organzied as many of the ads expire, etc. Well, as I have said before, you forgot about the CPA shaving at least 25% of your leads. I rather right ebooks and sale them online than to deal with the CPA affiliate program scams.

#6 is my biggest problem, I hate promoting low converting cpa offers. I usually don't know till I've lost $50 on promoting one and then stop the blood flow.
