Default Amazon Affilaite Link - Quick Question

My Complete Amazon link looks like this :

<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DRF84W?ie=UTF8&tag=canoprinrevi-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creative ASIN=B001DRF84W">Hulk [Blu-ray]</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=canoprinrevi-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001DRF84W" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

If I just want the link, lets say to insert into a Link such as on this post could I just use the part Ive marked in red?

Will I still get the commission, or does it need the extra line for it to work?

From the looks of it, I only need the Red part, is this correct?

Thanks Korum, think you are correct as the rest is just img src, and the link has the important part - ASIN=B001DRF84W .

On another note, dont suppose you know if you can get a break down of which products where clicked on? Mine account page at amazon only gives me total clicks.

I always check my links with Amazon's Link Checker Tool. After you log into your affiliate account, click the Links & Banners tab, then you will see "Link Checker" on the left menu.

This will tell you if your link is working and if you will get paid.

Ok, the link checker works great, but with the Amazon Squiddo module it tells me the link is invalid.

When using the amazon module in Squidoo, Squiddoo adds some stuff to the end of the link - why is this and how can we be sure that the links are working? The link checker says its not...

The image tag there is the tracking pixel.
It's basically to track back where the traffic is coming from, especially no that Amazon no longer pays out for traffic sent directly by PPC ad.

So, that means I have to have the complete link then, for it to work?

break down of which products where clicked on
You can get this from your "Orders Report" even if you had no orders.
It is parted in "items with orders" and "items with no orders". Below that is a down arrow with the text "Show all items". Click it and you will see which products were clicked on, but not bought.
Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention that when you have clicks listed, but no products shown, you can check via the Link-Type Report for their kind of origin. I get many clicks via Search Results Links which unfortunately doesn't show you the products searched.
