Banner Ads In Fwd Email, Plz Tell Me How To

I'm having a real hard time figuring out how to place my banners from my CPA networks at the bottom of emails I want to forward to a couple of "viral" friends I have who send me all those Please forward, or religious/political emails.

I've copy and pasted the HTML code from the offers, then forwarded it to another email address I own, but no luck. I don't see the banner ad I generated.

I see the banner ads from other marketers in these emails all the time, mostly smiley offers. I figure I'd like to put my own offers in there.

Somebody please spill the beans!
