Default Need a Kick in the Butt

Hi all.

I'm a new poster to WF but I have been lurking for a month or so. I just found out about the forum. The info here appears to be top notch and I'm looking forward to being an active member.

With that being said, I need some help. I've been in CPA for probably close to 4 months. I am a member of several networks. I have reviewed several tactics including honestbizpro's WSO(has some great ideas but they appear to be more on the blackhat side... which is kinda ironic given his name) and the CPA Bootcamp(also great ideas but the methods seem to take a little longer to get rolling). I am in the process of putting some of the strategies in both but have yet to make a simple penny... literally.

I am really starting to get discouraged. I honestly don't know why my offers aren't converting. I've tried using PPC to push traffic and that really appears to be a money pit. Using some of the methods form the above mentioned WSO's, I'm finally getting a few handfuls of clicks. I really feel like I'm working my butt off with absolutely nothing to show for it.

I need a little boost. Are there methods out there that can convert a little quicker on the short term so I don't lose site of my overall goal? I've been avoiding blackhat because I don't want to get banned from my networks. I'd prefer to stay in the grayhat and whitehat realm if possible. I'm not trying to be a millionaire, I just want to make some decent supplimental income. I have virtually no budget until I start making money.

Am I just being impatient? I am totally open to any and all ideas. Thanks in advance.

4 months in CPA and you are not making money I can not even imagine that.

There are absolutely free methods covered here that can make you money if you take time to read and implement.

I even see Network owners who are also warriors like Lindango personally offering to assist people almost everyday.

I guess some people do need a kick in the butt.

If you read my WSO (and thanks if you did... ) then you should know I cover a ton of methods and they all can be used with whitehat marketing.

I place no emphasis in PPC. Free Methods are what I love.

I went out of my way to make it super cheap but there are people purchasing $2000 products and still struggling after 8 weeks. I also expose Black Hat techniques to spark ideas within you.

You are only limited by your own imgaination.

I started out with nothing but a blog and and a single offer and made $100 a day.

I'm sorry HBP. I may have come off the wrong way. By no means do I want to dissuade anyone from your WSO. It's a great product at an even better price. And you're right, you didn't recommend PPC anywhere in your WSO... that was a foolish mistake I made on my own.

As you stated, after 4 months in CPA, I must be going out my way to prevent myself from making money... haha. I'm just frustrated.

HBP I received your PM. I tried to respond until I realized I had to have 15 posts to do so. I really appreciate your offer and look forward to trying it out when you're ready.

I am working hard to be successful and I'm sure it's only a matter of time. When that time comes, I look forward to helping others get started just as you have done for me, HBP.

Thanks again.

I suppose a question to answer would be what have you done and what results did you get? Results don't neccessary need to be money made, but, if you were driving traffic to yoru site, how much traffic did you manage to get, how many clicked on products you are advertising, how many bought?

The product you sell is also very important, some convert well, some hardly convert at all. You can always ask your netowrk manager what are the good converting offers and go with those (at least you know people are making money with those, so it's one less variable to worry about)

I started with IM last summer, chose to go with cpa but chose a product that doesn't seem to convert, like at all. Granted I gave it a half harted effort, but it still doesn't covert so meh.
At the end of March I decided to try cpa again, chose an offer that I know converts (this unfortunately means I am late to the party as there have been people cashing in for over a year with it) Anyway, to date I've made a bit over 200$ with just article marketing. It's not much but it sure beats 0$ and I can see how I could turn that 200 into 2000.

I appreciate all of the posts, gang. In retrospect, it appears I was just in need of a vent. I still have yet to make a dime but I'm a little more upbeat about it. I'm slowly going through HBP's WSO and the CPA Bootcamp to try new things. I'll eventually have atleast one campaign of each of their methods. Something is bound to work eventually... I've just gotta be patient.

Part of my frustration is that I loath my day job. I make pretty good money but I work 10-12 hour days plus have a 5 hour commute... yeah, a 5 hour commute. That means I'm gone anywhere from 15-17 hours a day for my day job so I'm limited to just a few hours a night and weekends to work on my passion, web design and IM. I love my wife and kids for being understanding about me being completely out of my mind... lol.

Sorry to put you all through my life story and thanks for the votes of confidence.

Are you good at webdesign?

We all know something better than someone else who just might pay for that knowledge. So there may be opportunity to design landing pages or entire websites for fellow warriors.

Perhaps your own WSO?

HBP, you're the man! I really appreciate all of your responses. It was due in large part to you that I kicked my own butt and got back in gear. I'm really anxious to keep plugging away on your methods on your WSO... but you've raised some great new ideas.

I would say I'm good at web design although my strongest point is probably graphic design. I have been doing both for about 8 years. I have been using more "canned" scripts like Joomla and Wordpress lately simply because I don't have the time to code stuff by hand anymore. I do have a few web project going on right now but it has been hard to fight the urge to work on my CPA/IM stuff instead... hehe.

Anyway, thanks again HBP!

No problem XShardx,

I am glad you are seeing the opportunities that exist all around us if we look hard.

I hear about some people going for $1 clicks when they could be promoting a high ticket seminar or other high ticket products/services that could be paying them $500-$1000 or even more in commission!

Also we should all remember we can make money by helping someone else make money.

It's funny... I still have yet to make a single dollar but I'm as motivated as ever. I still give a grumble when I see these posts about "I set up this site only 3 months ago and now it's making <Dr. Evil voice> 1 million dollars". My only true frustration is deciding what actions to take next. There is so much information out there, fraudulent or credible, it's hard to pick a direction. I'm bound and damned determined to make this work though. I'm fully addicted and I can imagine it will only get 10 times worse when I make my first sale. <sigh>

Default Woohoo!!

Well, I finally broke the seal... haha... my first sale!! If I wasn't totally addicted before, I am now. You'd think I just made a million. Anyway, thanks to honestbizpro and jeremy and don for their great courses. I look forward to applying even more of the methods to keep the sales rolling in.

My advice is stop buying things, stop reading about things and start doing.

Take one of the many methods you now know and focus on that for a week or two straight, do nothing else, don't read anything else, just do it. (Don't even read any forums because they will just present you with more and more different methods and distract you.)

Hi lazavas,

I have to give XShardx his credit, he bought my cheap WSO but he figured things out on his own.

I am seeing more and more threads of people making their first sales and it's fantastic.

absolutely you right PPCcoach! I think this is advice for everyone who stacked in one place and still buying any stuff and not get any money in reverse.
I figured it out that many people in IM industry have that problems, but those who can focus and focus on particular business models then implement it, achieve success every day.
