Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has been successful at making money through directing adware traffic to CPA offers.
Please, share your experiences here, as this is one area I would like to go into.
Thanks!

  • Adware that is installed and functions according to certain rules is considered permission-based advertising.
  • Adware that is not installed with user consent and/or cannot be easily removed from a users' computer is considered an unwanted program.
  • Spyware is software that installs, collects and distributes the users' information without their consent.
That is a slippery slope to go down creative.

I am absolutely positive that there are people making alot of money that way.....I am not so positive that they made it in an ethical way.

I tried it for a couple of weeks. I spent $250 on ads and generated $115 in commissions. Adware is a lot like Adwords - you end up bidding more than you'd like in order to be competitive.

There are undoubtedly people who are making money using adware, just as there are undoubtedly people who are making money with Adwords.

Adware is just like any other tool. It may or may not work for you. It's not a "magic bullet."

After using many of these networks, my conclusion is: Adwords (network) is better than any other network.

But you need to play it the right way!

From Adwords, clicks could be of very low cost than other networks!

Good luck.

Yes adware works and it is not spyware, it's permission based.

Yep but even if you play with AdWords in a right way and link it to the squeeze page they can block your acount and will never say you why. They did it with my account a month ago, and till now I do not know the reason

Adware traffic is also known as "contextual traffic" and if you use trusted companies, meaning the ones that are accredited with "etrust" then it is not black hat as many see it to be, also many CPA networks now openly accept this type of traffic.

Have I made any money from this method..... no not yet, but have done a lot of research into it and will start testing in the next 6-8 weeks, so keep in mind I have no real stats to verify anything adware related just usual "forum waffle".

Thanks
Andy

ps you should check out the numbers jonathan van clute brought it when he did the affiliate challenge Top Affiliate Challenge :: Sponsored By Azoogle Ads (traffic using adware and only adware)

pps Most of my research keeps bringing me back to Gauher Chaudhry, no suprize there, if your wanting to know if the traffic generation is viable then google Gauher

I'm On Google + ------------- and of course Also On Twitter

I started using Adware for CPA offers about a month ago. It is definitely possible to make profits, but like every other method, you need to test and track and experiment to find out what actually works.

I had one campaign that I kept running for way too long because I thought for sure that it was a perfect offer for this method. In contrast I threw together a campaign that I really had doubts about...less than a week ago, and while my ad costs have been just under $3, I have earnings over $60. Not exactly retirement income, and it's only been a week, but I have discovered several campaigns that are consistently bringing excellent ROI.

The nice thing is that it is far less expensive to test offers using Adware than through traditional PPC.

If you do it right you can get very targeted traffic.
